What do you think adds up to millions if not the same thousands.
The Bible stories makes people think history started 6000 years ago.

The way Ceaser's death was celebrated I guess he was hated by many and it was a relief to the People he governed. When the history book is flipped, how will those governing us be Judged?

Caesar was hated by the senate who saw his influence as a threat to their own power. He was admired by the people and his soldiers.

After his death there was a power struggle and the people who conspired to kill him made those coins as propaganda to justify what they did.

Of course, Caesar was never an emperor.

Often times, he was one of two Consuls of the Roman Republic.

But the highest position that he ever held was that of "Dictator of the Republic of Rome" and that was right after he crossed the Rubicon during Caesar's Civil War and seized Rome. He held that position for about 5 years before he was assassinated.

The first real Emperor of Rome was actually Caesar's grandnephew, Octavius, who assumed the throne under the name of Augustus Caesar in 27 BC. He also came to power after a long civil war like his uncle.

The second emperor was of course a guy called Tiberius(the reluctant one).

After Tiberius, Caligula(3rd emperor). Right after Caligula, Claudius was next.

Claudius was assassinated and Nero(son of Ahenobarbus) became the 5th emperor or Caesar of the Roman Empire from 54 to 68 BC.

After Nero, the Julio-Claudian dynasty came to an end and the likes of Galba(6th emperor), Otho(7th), Vittelius(8th) and Vespasian(9th) would rule in quick succession all within one year(the Year of the Four Emperors as it is now known).

Vespasian would then set up his own dynasty. The Flavian dynasty.

So what qualifies one to be an emperor

What happened to Julius Caesar was tragic. No one knows the days they will die but we can put our lives in the hands of the Lord. To those who have enemies, village people or people after their lives. Please mediate on Psalm 27
Psalm 27
27 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the strength of my life;
Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When the wicked came against me
To eat[a] up my flesh,
My enemies and foes,
They stumbled and fell.
3 Though an army may encamp against me,
My heart shall not fear;
Though war may rise against me,
In this I will be confident.

4 One thing I have desired of the Lord,
That will I seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord
All the days of my life,
To behold the [b]beauty of the Lord,
And to inquire in His temple.
5 For in the time of trouble
He shall hide me in His pavilion;
In the secret place of His tabernacle
He shall hide me;
He shall set me high upon a rock.

6 And now my head shall be [c]lifted up above my enemies all around me;
Therefore I will offer sacrifices of [d]joy in His tabernacle;
I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry with my voice!
Have mercy also upon me, and answer me.
8 When You said, “Seek My face,”
My heart said to You, “Your face, Lord, I will seek.”
9 Do not hide Your face from me;
Do not turn Your servant away in anger;
You have been my help;
Do not leave me nor forsake me,
O God of my salvation.
10 When my father and my mother forsake me,
Then the Lord will take care of me.

11 Teach me Your way, O Lord,
And lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies.
12 Do not deliver me to the will of my adversaries;
For false witnesses have risen against me,
And such as breathe out violence.
13 I would have lost heart, unless I had believed
That I would see the goodness of the Lord
In the land of the living.

14 Wait[e] on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!

One would think that such a coin should be the property of the Italian government.

Wonder why it is in private hands? sad
The kobo coin you kept in your cupboard for your children to see, is it government’s money?

Caesar death was not celebrated by the roman masses.

They went on riot to destroy those that killed him.

He was a great ruler.

BC means before the birth of christ.

Ceasar was killed 46 years before christ was born.

And the coins were made 44 years before christ was born.

No the dating is reversed.
BC is Before Christ.

So 2 years after 44BC will be 42BC

The dating will continuously keep reducing till we hit 1BC and then the AD dating takes place.

The modern Gregorian AD calendar is After (Christ's) Death.
