With Government job you would have enough time for family and side hustle, but Bank work go drain you like mad, at the end it's still up to you to choose where your strength and priorities are!

While I understand the view of those telling you to choose a state ministry job, I would say everything depends on your ambition and family situation. If you are ambitious and it is a good banking unit like treasury, then go for the bank. But since you have a family that may complicate things. Marketing unit of a bank may not be suitable for you. And it also depends on how fast you want to save money and move on to other things.
