A bill for the legalisation and usage of non-toxicant cannabis plants for medical and scientific research is presently before the House of Representatives.

The bill, which was presented by Rep. Princess Miriam Onuoha, representing Okigwe North of Imo State, has passed the second reading.

This was disclosed by Dr. Tonye Jaja Clinton, a legal practitioner, during a media parley organized by Grow Cann Africa in Abuja on the benefits and opportunities of cannabis plants and CBD oil.

He said once the bill becomes law, Nigeria has a lot to gain economically.

Once legalised, many will go into its cultivation and it will then become readily available and cheap. That so much money we will see in it is because of its illegality otherwise I would have said many are about to become billionaires overnight.

As much as I like weed, I believe there are more important things for the country to focus on


A good healthcare system that won't leave lower income/poor people unattended cos they've got no money to deposit


Good and stable electricity

Good roads and the bad ones shouldn't take more than two years to complete

A good water supply system as well.

All these and More
Too much to type

Before we start imitating the posh system of other developed system, we need to first fix the rot underneath the system.


I hate how we focus more on superficial nonsense over the real things.

One victory does not mean REST.
After the barring of the useless SARS, we should also channel that energy into things like electricity, good leaders and healthcare and in the next 25 years, Nigeria might be worth living in
