The True Reality About Migrating To Canada!!! by Chicago213(m): 7:47am On Oct 13, 2020
There are a number of realities about Canada that immigrants don’t realize. First is that Canada is managing Canada’s immigration system for the benefit of Canadians, not immigrants. If you can’t find a job, that’s your problem, not Canada’s. Canada is accepting so many immigrants for demographic reasons - to fund its generous social programs by having large numbers of young, well trained, hard working citizens. It is not trying to make immigrants happy, it is trying to make Canadians happy.

Another reality is that Canada has the best educated work force in the world. Most people in Canada now have university or college degrees, so no matter the level of your Educational qualifications, in Canada you're still average.

There are a lot of immigrants who came to Canada with fantastic degrees and vast job experience, but unfortunately now work as carpenters, plumbers, masons etc. Nigerians need to realize that the streets are not paved with gold in Canada, you have to make your own gold.

It is obvious you're just a hungry blogger who feels writing rubbish will make you special.

Canada is the land of milk and honey with the most polite people on earth.

My friend who got there 4 months ago has changed 3 jobs, she works online, already has her own apartment and can fend for herself fully. Last month she had her baby and the government is already paying her for having a baby with 1 year leave.

Do not compare Nigerian carpenters, plumbers, electricians to the one in Canada. Those guys are rich.

Plumbers and carpenters in Canada earn more than people with PhD. It's not the same as being a plumber in Nigeria. There you can charge 150 dollars per hour and people have money to pay.

You need to work for at least one year to qualify for maternity paid leave

lolz...this is kinda funny. cos if you read comments on YouTube, you find Canadians complaining bitterly about how the government priotizes immigrants above citizens, with all the robust support systems created to help immigrants settle down fast.

so na who we go believe now?

You are confused because you don't understand what you are trying to explain to you.

Even one month annual leave company wouldn't give you that when you haven't spent 6months with them let a lone one year paid maternity leave. 600hrs is not even close as your friend is heavily pregnant before joining the company

Them don come again with nonsense. If you cannot find a job you can go back to school apply for grants or loans and change careers. In the meantime you can be doing some easy jobs like customer care. Going to canada is not about the present but securing the future. There are people here studying nursing for free with grants from government, i know someone else studying IT now with 6k loan and 10k grant from government. Continue to open mouth dey talk rubbish. No matter the job you do here. You still have access to quality life. Those plumbers and co you mentioned are living their best lives anyways. People have been getting 2000 dollars due to job loss associated with covid. What did buhari give you

Your screenshot is not a proof that somebody with just under 2months with a company will get a year maternity leave, she might as well referring to the company she left for Canada considering the fact that she was 6 months preg by the time she got to Canada

This isn't new thing, but one thing i like about Canada is that it is immigration friendly as long as you qualified.

Getting job is hard everywhere in the world now including canada nd please if you moving to a foreign country better have it at the back of your mind you might not get a white collar job be ready for factory jobs and other menials job, be ready to share a room with two or more people to lower your cost as we all know renting an apartment is damn expensive in Canada!

You will see fine girls and handsome boys forming posh in Nigeria doing factory works in foreign countries, this isn't to discourage no one is just to lower your expectations about these countries!

Lol all what I hear from you guys over there is "I have a friend" I know someone" why don't you give first hand information from your own experience I'm talking from my own experience here as a Nigerian!!! Those of us here(Nigerians) hardly tell the truth but prefer to live fake lives to make it seem all is well...

No country can make any policy over the interest of its own people but Canada is one of the best places of the world where talented and skilled people want to work due to very nice people and friendly polices. I don't think you can only say anything about their policy for immigrants only for the sake of criticism.
