Hi Chocs and nairalanders

Please do you have any idea the typical time frame for canada to initiate communication with an applicant after successfully submitting his/her application... i submitted my application on the 7th of Sept and up till now no word from CIC is that odd or its the normal long timeframe?
Ps... i have done my biometrics since because of my previous travel to canada, so no letter from them indicating i go for my biometrics
please see the screenshot below to see the status of my application

As the name implies, it is just a list of documents that should be submitted for a study permit application. It is not one the required forms,it is not even a form.

there are 3 forms to submit, for a study permit application which are:

Application for study permit made outside of Canada (IMM1294) (required)

Family Information (IMM5645) (required)

Schedule 1- Application for a temporary Resident Visa made outside Canada (IMM5257) (required).

Hi adeenzo

There are 2 options
1) wait until they get back to you (time frame isn’t very predictable)

2) order your gcms note to get the most up to date info on your application

Best wishes

I believe you should just be patient.
I also submitted my application for winter 2021 (January) on the 1st of September and got biometrics request the next day. I did my biometrics on September 18, and it was updated on my profile later the same day. No other update since then.

I should think that is a good sign. If it were a "no", you would have heard from them by now.

Hey naira fam
First application was denied on purpose of visit, ties
this is my second application since may
ReApplied and still awaiting my gcms and I'm hoping for the best and still expecting anything to happen
Here's my question: someone talked about using the Uk to move to Canada on Study permit
Please is it all school in uk that can do it and how long can you stay in uk and want to transfer to Canada for your studies
If it's possible then if my gcms note comes out negative then I'll move to the Uk
Any suggestions would be highly preciated.
Please read the full information partaining to the reason why the moniker gave that reply. I dont know about any schools that offer that but if you have the finances then you can go for UK, study and if you still hope on migrating to Canada in future, u can still go ahead.

I intend reapplying for a student visa again January 2021.

Do I need to write another SOP? Or do I just write my LOE and that will be enough?

What do you advice i look out for?

Hello Family, @ Frank, @ Luckymama @ Justwise @ Just Mellow @ all

My gcms note just landed and I will all need our contribution to help me understand what I can do before I reapply.
I was denied in my first application based on insufficient fund to finance my tuition and living expenses. My tuition is 14000cad and living expenses is 11000cad(quebec). My sponsor is my uncle(mother's brother) with a SOA of 21m as at the time of application and subsequently 34m one week after application. I submitted the following documents in my first application as POF.

1. Uncle SOA with a balance of 21m
2. Uncle birth certificate
3. My mothers birth certificate that shows she share same parent with uncle.
4. A family tree illustration
5. Uncle LOE and Affidavits that shows a breakdown of how he will be fueling my study, that he has been sponsoring me after the death of father during undergraduate, and that currently I am his only dependant as her two biological daughter are married.
6. Picture with uncle and my brother
7. Uncle business documents and drivers license.

Note: I didnt add my SOA in my first application because it is having a low balance and it wont count on the application to me. I was just 6month into Assistant Environmental officer position after a successful 9 months internship when I applied. I was placed on no payment as an intern and on a stipend during probation period in which I just concluded.

I am going for Msc Environmental Engineering.

I need our contribution considering the option that I wont be paying tuition before visa approval.

Confirm your school policy on tuition refund. If it is favorable, I will advise your uncle to pay your tuition and transfer your living expenses into your account or get a guaranteed student deposit certificate from a Canadian bank in your name. Make sure you check the bank policy to confirm that it is refundable in case of visa refusal. Alternatively, let him transfer your tuition and living expenses into your account. I think Your visa officer is not convinced that you have access to his funds. All the best.

Godsblessings:
kudus to your valuable contribution, pls my sis who was requested to do medical by CIC, she has done it, do we need to upload a slip given to her to her account on CIC or it will be updated there.
Secondly, a friend of mine who got admitted to university of Windsor want to pay tuition deposit, pls what's the procedure to pay , cos he said he was told to use web banking and I don't understand it?? Expecting your valuable response
The medical exam that was requested by IRCC will be automatically updated on her MyCIC account within three (3) working days.

Your friend who got admitted to University of Windsor should proceed with making the tuition deposit through FORM A. He should email the student financial services for the University's wire payment details which comprises of the Swift Code and Bank identifier number. Form A is quite cheaper in comparison with other mode of payment.

It will end in praise

The University of Manitoba processing times for undergraduate admission takes about 4 weeks. Whilst for post graduate programs are processed within 3-4 months depending on the choice of your program. You can email the graduate admissions to inquire why your application has taken longer than expected.

It will end in praise.
