Sometime in early 2016, i went shopping for sneakers(i didn't have any specific sneaker in mind), and i didn't want to go for the trending Yeezy at that time cos you will see it on the foot of every tom, dick and harry.

I finally got an Air Force 1 black sneaker, it felt perfect till i got home, i just can't say what happened but i hated that sneaker immediately i got home, not sure i wore it up to four times in total till i gave it out to a student during my NYSC.

I bought a vehicle worth all my sweat ... And regretted the buy 2 weeks after.. Discovered I got a working dead... Spent more getting the thing up to standard.. My silver lining was I had not completed the sellers payment which gave me some re-negotiating power.. Cause the mad man lied a lot about the vehicle...

Regardless:
The first phone my parents bought for me was Nokia C1 for 5k and I desperately wanted to upgrade after a while. I went to work in a factory and I got like 8k. I contacted a friend of mine who swapped his phone for a better phone with some balance of course. He did it in Onitsha (Emeka offor plaza) and I pleaded with him to escort me. I paid our tfare and we got there, I picked up the model before Nokia navigator because of the sleekness and outstanding camera.

Priced 6k plus my Nokia C1.. I paid and immediately one guy told me about a fantastic anti-virus and I went to his shop. This guy scanned my phone and said my money was 3k plus. After bickering back and forth, he refused and seized my phone. Me and my friend couldn't say anything because the guy was huge. We looked like ants - we just finished SS3.. Las las after we cried and begged, one of his customers begged him and he left us stripping us of 2k and leaving us with our tfare.

After getting back from that horrible experience with much tears, I noticed that the screen of the phone was white but I was too happy to think anything negative. The phone fell down after some weeks and the screen went blank. I changed the screen with 2k. After a while, some keys stopped working, I fixed it with another 1.5k.. I ended up fixing keypad 3 times and changing the screen 2 times plus the batteries I brought to support it.

I ended up selling the phone for 3.5k... Lol...

That was the last day I bought a second hand phone from sellers. If no be new one with receipt, carry your wahala dy go.
Hakhakhakhakhakhakhakhakhak, I can't stop laughing ooooo. Lol grin cheesy grin grin cheesy grin grin grin grin grin grin. I don't like buying used gadgets either, they never last. Once I need a new gadget i save up ahead for it. I no like wahala.

u are a gentleman, someone like me would have confronted him and let him know I won't patronize him ever again, even threatens him to let my friends who intended buying stuff before know he sells fake stuff.
It most be an igbo trader. They don't give a darm as far as they have collected your money. They will never refund for crappy, fake, unmatching products even if you return 2 mins after making payment.
As for me, rather than buy anything from them ie Alaba etc, I will rather go to proper LG store eg fuani on Allen where they will give me 1year warrantee or buy from jumia etc where igbo trader selling online must agree to a return policy, besides escrow is applicable.
NOTE, I have noticed that those were raised in the west are better, it is those that came to Lagos as adults that seem to have that hot eye for money by any means.

Being oversized is better that undersize as you can work on the former like slim fitting, or nothing can be done to it?

Okay..bought an expensive London used HTC DESIRE back then for 18k(18k was like 100k to me at this time..lol). I form big boy for two months, the third month, the phone died. It comes up when it likes and goes off for days. It always goes off when ever the weather is cold. My brother say na d phone d use thermostat..lmfao.. Tried fixing it, it didn't work. Ended up selling it as scrap for 4k. Used it for only two months.

Bought a bold Six from my friend back then for 6k (was a lot of money O). Bold six crashed after one month. Chai! I Don suffer.

I bought Nokia E75, the phone nearly killed me with flex issues.

At the end of it all, I got a small Nokia Java phone and got peace of mind. Lol. Na really big man big problem O.

And I still buy fairly used phones up until this day. But I'm wiser now. grin

when I was doing my I.T, a pair of sneakers for sale caught my attention. I asked for da price and the price was quite high. I priced dz sneakers for one month (coz I do pass through that shop almost everyday while returning from work) and da seller insisted on that same price (no reduction).

I finally bought dz sneakers, put da pair in my box to launch at school.

da day I finally wore dz sneakers (at school),I realised it was a fake one.

my love for it dropped drastically.

I couldn't give it out (coz I know it is fake), and I couldn't throw it away (coz of da price and it was still new).

las las,I begin wear am dey go for jogging and exercises
I had this same experience.. though mine wasn't fake..but I just fell out of love with it after the first time I wore it

Honda Baby Boy!
That car made me lose my sanity. I got broke to a point I couldnt feed well. All my savings, investments and capital nearly ran dry because of that goddamn car. Am crying as I type dis sef because it's memoirs is enough to make me cry.

I woke up one morning carried the car to Ladipo, sold it parts by parts on a single spot. Since den, I had my peace back.
I bought other problematic cars tho but that one made me depressed.

I'll never buy a car again(for now).
I'll never carry anything liability again(cars, girls, beer palours etc)

I later swapped the phone with tecno T1 (another nightmare grin) from the famous swap thread in technology section

I suffered this flex issue back then too. Lol

Way back then. I went to CV to buy Infinix Note 2 (still trending then) but somehow my friend convinced me to take something else.

As per I no sabi then and he knew about phones, I went with his advice and picked up a china phone. It performed well sha but after like 22 days, it just gave up.

Went to engineer... he said it’s the motherboard and battery.
Okay how much is battery? He say e no dey market
Ehn ehn... how far motherboard? That one no even dey country angry

Since then me and China maintain social distancing... but if you have motherboard and battery, I don’t mind o I will buy grin

Same thing happened to me during my undergraduate days. However, instead of disposing it, I called a welder to weld the exact prototype for me. I painted it pink and used a finer fabric to sew the outer cloth. I used it for 2 years, gave it out and the person is still using it till date( talking about 5years now)

Back to the topic, I have had my fair share of post-purchase regrets. The most painful was when I used a huge some of money to purchase a phone that didn't last me up to a month. It got stolen. Or do I talk about the clothes, Shoes, hairs and Clutches that I spent a fortune to buy online, only for me to realise that the clothes were made with inferior materials and are not as seen in the picture/video, bags and shoes are fake... I have learnt my lesson though. I no longer buy clothes, shoes, bags, hairs...online. If I cannot find them within my locality, I postpone buying until I travel to where I can find them.

Paid for a 3 day holiday to Disney Land Paris for my son as his birthday present.
Flight, accommodation and even hired a car so that little man would have as smooth holiday as possible.
Day 1, got to the park, he had a go on about 3 rides and announced- " I go home now!!!"

Go home ke? angry angry angry

With how much I spent? I was mad pissed off.

Needless to say, I haven't taken him on holiday outside the country since. If he wants one he can always cross to the backyard..free and right in his house.

Mine was during those days when i was still very young and naive.
I had put all my hard-earned egg nest of 10k then to procure this Nokia E97 slide symbian phone at that notorious Alaba Int Market.
I was shocked that the battery and other subsequent ones i bought with bitterness did not last more than an hour.I was using three batteries for one phone.
I later dump it somewhere in the shelf before i had peace of mind.
Thats all about it.
If you got any buyer's remorse before, share it here all for the fun guys!

I encountered the same problem with this phone.. I had like 6 batteries back then.. I was frustrated I had to give it to someone.
It's like that phone is specifically built to have battery problem. It was also one of the few phones with a very large storage size of 32GB in use then. 32GB then is like 512GB of today grin

I think it's N97 not E97
