Regardless:
The first phone my parents bought for me was Nokia C1 for 5k and I desperately wanted to upgrade after a while. I went to work in a factory and I got like 8k. I contacted a friend of mine who swapped his phone for a better phone with some balance of course. He did it in Onitsha (Emeka offor plaza) and I pleaded with him to escort me. I paid our tfare and we got there, I picked up the model before Nokia navigator because of the sleekness and outstanding camera.

Priced 6k plus my Nokia C1.. I paid and immediately one guy told me about a fantastic anti-virus and I went to his shop. This guy scanned my phone and said my money was 3k plus. After bickering back and forth, he refused and seized my phone. Me and my friend couldn't say anything because the guy was huge. We looked like ants - we just finished SS3.. Las las after we cried and begged, one of his customers begged him and he left us stripping us of 2k and leaving us with our tfare.

After getting back from that horrible experience with much tears, I noticed that the screen of the phone was white but I was too happy to think anything negative. The phone fell down after some weeks and the screen went blank. I changed the screen with 2k. After a while, some keys stopped working, I fixed it with another 1.5k.. I ended up fixing keypad 3 times and changing the screen 2 times plus the batteries I bought to support it.

I ended up selling the phone for 3.5k... Lol...

That was the last day I bought anything like second hand, second leg, Belgium, Asian, Russian whatever phone from sellers. If no be new one with receipt, carry your wahala dy go.
are you a comedian? U made my day

when I was doing my I.T, a pair of sneakers for sale caught my attention. I asked for da price and the price was quite high. I priced dz sneakers for one month (coz I do pass through that shop almost everyday while returning from work) and da seller insisted on that same price (no reduction).

I finally bought dz sneakers, put da pair in my box to launch at school.

da day I finally wore dz sneakers (at school),I realised it was a fake one.

my love for it dropped drastically.

I couldn't give it out (coz I know it is fake), and I couldn't throw it away (coz of da price and it was still new).

las las,I begin wear am dey go for jogging and exercises

How we can help ourselves is to ensure no one goes through that experience. If the shop is still around, and selling fake things, take a pix and post on Social media to run the guy out of business. We need to look out for ourselves.

I bought a10000mAh infinix powerbank at Dauglas in owerri from one Aboki man...
When I got home I discovered it can't charge my 2800mAh battery phone.
One day I decided to open it behold the battery inside is a Samsung 1500 mAh. I decided never to buy anything electric from road side sellers again

Not really, I do a lot of market survey online, ask questions before getting anything i deem costly.

It helps, i almost got a fake samsung galaxy s4 once, i checked price for UK used s4 for weeks, cheked online and found out the average price was #30k. On the day i wanted to get it, I went with a friend to another shop he promised sells original wares. Got there, the guy told us 20k.. I was shocked and happy at once smiley, when i held the phone i started having missed feelings. My mind was telling me its either its a fake or it might have problems I cannot spot over the counter, btw I noticed the number of sensors where not adding up as with the once i checked online.
Finally I told my guy i wasn't going to buy the phone, he was worried about the feelings of the seller if we left like that, so i decided to price him less to disaude him, i priced 15k and he asked if we had the money with us, i responded in the affirmative and he asked to bring it... mehn!! That was a huge red flag, i just told mey friend i was leaving.(bleep how he feels, this must be a fake). My friend tried disuading me, said he would sell his tecno and come buy the phone himself the next day undecided.
On our way back I took him to a shop i priced the phone earlier (#30k), on seeing the original, he didn't even need to touch it to spot the huge difference (which weren't really obvious if u were presented without the original to make comparisms tho). I was so proud of myself that day. cool
Finaly I ended up getting a new one for #75k, and i really flexed and enjoyed that phone with peace of mind cheesy

When u plan getting stuffs, especially gadgets, watch reviews on youtube, check prices online and in shops, window shopping is not bad afterall .

This was the mistake I made in 2016 when I bought THL T9 PRO. I didn't look for any review online, I paid 36,000 for crap from China. Only to find out that the phone was reviewed as the worst phone of the year.

My EOD has served me very very well. Honda has its strong points, if you know how to capitalise on it, it will serve even better than a Toyota will.

If you rely totally on mechanics for your car issues, Honda is not for you. It is the actions of our mechanics that make it unreliable.

In America, CRV is second to RAV 4 in sales, CIvic is ahead of Corolla in recent years. But most Nigerian mechanics still say the Honda is unreliable. They must be doing something wrong if statistics doesn't agree with them.

Being oversized is better that undersize as you can work on the former like slim fitting, or nothing can be done to it?

Had many experience o but the one way pain me pass na the itel phone I buy from a friend.
I swapped my good techno p5 with this nightmare of a phone.the phone will start reducing from 100 once I remove charger, then will start jumping from 50-40-30-20-10 and 0 na the 0 use to tey very well and the phone go hot like hell fire if I dey press am.
I was so happy the day I sold it to the same guy even though I got a phone of less value but at least that one better grin.
Na the cause of buying and reselling made me phone less for a very long period of time and that's why I decided will never buy any second thing again in my life.....but I don't break am this year when I sell my phone because of debt and bought one fairly used w3 pro from a friend since I no fit afford new one grin grin.

Yes, I hadn't yet received my order from Konga when I had first read this.
So, I have been wanting to purchase a tambour embroidery hoop for a while now (say about a month or so) but couldn't get it in stores/market. I looked it up on Konga but didn't get it there, I then continued my search on Jumia and voila! There they were, TAMBOUR EMBROIDERY HOOPS staring with invincible eyes right back at me, I was so excited because I had also put up a picture on my WhatsApp status with hopes that all the so-called importer/exporter on my WhatsApp list would have even if it was just one of the inches of the embroidery hoops but it was all to no avail. Well, not only were the hoops available on Jumia, they were also very affordable and discounted as well. After having gone through all the hoops there were, I then proceeded to purchase the 5 types of inches there were (5 or 6? My memory has failed me!) Well, I sha ordered or all the inches there were and went on to purchase other stuff for the throw pillows and pillows I needed to make. After having added everything to the cart and seen the sum, I proceeded to whatever stage is next when purchasing stuff online. There I saw a sum of #40 something thousand naira ehn? What did I purchase na? According to the prices of the things I had purchased, all I had to pay was about #10k and the waybill shouldn't be more than #2,500, why then was I seeing 40 something thousand naira? That's how I abandoned everything.
Fast forward to few weeks later, I'm in Lagos but was yet to see what I needed so I went on Konga again and this time, I saw a beautiful hoop and the price wasn't bad but more expensive compared to how much it cost on Jumia, I'm in dire need of it so I had to buy the only inch that was available, excited to finally be getting it, I patiently waited and few hours ago, this Konga delivery guy called to ask to meet him outside! Once he handed me the parcel, I knew I had entered it. I jejely collected it and went in to unwrap it and what I saw was pretty saddening, lol, it's way smaller that what I had expected! Way too small and very much unlike the beauty I had seen on Konga. I'm disappointed but a beggar is of no choice.
Oh yes, even the handheld sewing machine I purchased alongside the hoop is just too small, it looks like a mini stapler cheesy grin grin and now I've got to purchase a bigger one.

I bought Samsung Galaxy M11 for 68k. Only to get to notice that Samsung is a big thief. Samsung created a crappy device that is nowhere near Tecno Spark 5 of 48k or so.

The camera was shit.

When I played some songs I noticed that the speaker of the phone had some issues like those Chinese speakers.

The the phone was truly Samsung.. it was not one of those fake copies. it was actually a Samsung phone.

I went to return it to the store and get a new one and the new one still had the same problem.

I couldn't get my money back so I had to sell the phone for half the price.

I lost almost 38000 just for buying that phone

Are you sure this is really buyer's remorse?

In my own understanding buyer's remorse is as a result of you buying something, then you not liking it again and wishing to return it back not because the product is spoilt but simply because there's another one you now fancy or you have now realized that the product is not really worth it!!!

In your own case, you just bought a terribly bad product!!!

To know whether it was buyer's remorse, ask yourself this: Had it been the battery was perfect, would you have wanted/wished to return the phone?

You see...

Agreed, although, some people will realise the product they got is not reliable so they become remorseful.

Buyers remorse is actually a feeling of regret after buying something that is unnecessary or extravagant.

I remember when Infinix Note 2 emerged!! I was so crazy about that phone. I would even dream of that phone in my dreams. I wanted it badly. After saving up for like 5months, I went to ladipo to buy tokunbo cos I couldn't afford new one then. When I bought the phone, my countenance was just like that of a child that has been gifted his dream toy!! I happy die osmiley. Only for me to reach house and discovered it was the fake I bought!! I felt like dying!! The phone was hanging all the time, internal memory of over 10gig couldn't accommodate a file of 400mb!! The phone heats up very quickly especially when I want to browse. I was so furious. Even though I was told the sellers at ladipo don't accept back anything once money has exchanged hands, I was determined to get my money back. After one week of begging Bross to collect his phone back and refund my money, he finally agreed to refund me 75% of my cash. I didn't mind at all o because I know what I had to endure to save up for that phone. By the time he refunded me, someone was willing to sell his original note 2 for me at the same price I bought the fake... Omo I rush am sharply!!!!

Buyers remorse is actually a feeling of regret after buying something that is unnecessary or extravagant.

Ummm.... well, I don't think I agree with you on this.

Out of the one million and one reasons why a person could develop buyer's remorse, I will rule out buying a defective product.

Anybody who buys a defective product is not gonna be happy with that product.... or don't you think so?

Normally, when you buy a defective product, You first of all feel ANGRY and CHEATED... and then maybe, some remorse!!!

But you are right on stating that buyer's remorse usually stems from buying unnecessary or extravagant things.
