There were several more people at the back. It was a crowd. Most people hit (in my own opinion, from what i saw in the video) were a few yards away from where the soldiers were. Which made perfect sense.

But with a crowd of people, the chances of it happening sky rockets. One of the determining factor for it causing injury is the bullet point.

What are soldiers with life ammunitions doing at a venue of peaceful protest. If we can see some pictures and videos of people wounded by bullets there is a very high probability that those bullets hit some people in a vital places that may kill them.
