Akposy: Most beings on nairaland are always lurking around the corner, impatiently waiting for people to make mistakes or share a perception different from theirs so they can tear the person apart. Their unforgiving and sentimental analysis is legendary. I'm still oblivious of how you hide behind your keyboards to cancel people you can't confront in reality. The cancel culture on NL is just something else.
Most of these defaulters never or rarely make positive contributions (post food pics, give out recipe or share food inspiration) here. Their likes are always pained that people are posting, cooking and eating good food. I didn't come this far on this thread by cancelling people or hating on their amazing food pics. On the contrary, they pushed and inspired me to improve my "foodieness", get a culinary degree and improve on my food photography skills.
To all that have actually contributed positively to this thread, I sincerely appreciate you guys. It ain't easy cooking, taking food pics and posting online.

Enjoy my yummy Scones. Inspired by Mariahangel Why leaving? This thread has been one of my favorite section since i discovered it nd was inspired by wonderful people on this thread including you!! It is so heartbreaking we allow what internet trolls says affect us Do you know hw many insults i get on nairaland, sometimes they trolled me on food section that you even witnessed but will never stop me from posting nor deactivating! You should know on internet you will experience different beings including the trolls but you shouldn't let it get to you!! But if you need to get your mental health in check it is understandable, you can take a break nd come back when you want to. For the trolls that will come on food section to discredit ones effort you are the problem!! 5 Likes |

[quote author=BlueRayDick post=95247130]So I prepared this stir fry spaghetti yesterday, but due to the domestic incident that followed it's consumption I couldn't post. So I prepared the spag and devoured it almost immediately, but when I was done eating I noticed I was experiencing some discomfort somewhere down my throat. Then it hit me, the shell/Legs of the dried prawn I used for the spag had hooked my throat and was causing serious pain. I tried everything I could to have it forced out but I couldn't. The more I tried, the more the pain down my oesophagus increased. I even dipped my hands down my throat to throw up as much as I can but yet the particle causing the pain never came out. I even followed some YouTube videos that required one to take coke or olive oil when food particles get stuck in the throat but nothing came out. I eventually ended up in the hospital. The doctor who happens to be a childhood friend whom we grew up together in Sunday school told me I just have to keep drinking warm water and allow the particle drop down my stomach by itself over time. An alternative to this is for her to refer me to ENT specialist who will perform a procedure and remove it. She gave me a drug to relieve the inflammation around the area sha. Well, I woke up this morning and it appears like she predicted the particle already dropped down my stomach. I only feel slight pain from the sore the particle made from my constant efforts at trying to force it out yesterday. Why am I posting this long story? It's for us all to be careful when swallowing these food items especially seafood. As we keep safe this period, let's also eat safe ó. For me no more dried prawn in meals for now Glad you are ok now Stay safe 2 Likes 1 Share |

Akposy, if you are unfollowing due to wanting to take a break, then it's fine. But don't do it because you were insulted by some online bullies.
Forget those people they are too bitter and full of hate!
Ignore what that silly cumtroller said. He is just a child. He bullies due to what he is experiencing in life. Traumatic maybe?
You aren't responsible for their woes.
To all the online bullies, Whatever you inflict on others will affect you in the same way. Even if you don’t feel bad for what you do and say, that’s a sure sign you lack love. Love is life. You can’t function or be genuine or likable without love. So try to grow some of that love instead of your own fickle insecurities.-Noushka 3 Likes |

Akposy. I may not have related with you here before but I must tell you, you've been a source of inspiration to me on several occasions with your meals. I mean like last week, I was confused as to what to cook. Then came your white rice and smoked fish with fresh tomatoes meal. I was higly inspired by that meal and went scouting for smoked fish after a long time. I made it and it was mmmm... Wonderful! So, I owe that to you big time. And your bread-making skills too has got me trying my hands on a few pasteries of late.
Why im saying all this is so you know that apart from those who mention you often, there are many others who don't, but enjoy and appreciate what you do here. So, the bad comments shouldn't get to you, as the good ones far outweighs them. But if you feel you have to for your sanity, then please do cos I understand how dehumanizing such comments can be especially when you actually meant things for good.
Those guys are unserious sets and I want you to know that I was equally heartstabbed when I read the first comments from them calling you a .... Let me stop here.
