This phone is a beast. I don't think it's that old. It's just 2018. The only downside is the battery.

lol have you use it before? The battery is also a beast

I have no idea but 4a is a midrange

Well, I don't consider 3400mah a beast. Maybe OS optimization might help, but the battery capability is still small. And I'm sure you didn't get it new.

Bro you certainly don't know what you're talking about, It seems you don't know the kind of phones I'm talking about, I'm talking of 2017-2018 flagship devices.. they usually don't have anything less than octa-core CPU's

Where did you see huge bezels on lg G7, v30, v40, Huawei mate 10, xiaomi mi mix 2S

See as you carry portrait mode like say na one exclusive feature, all these phones offer portrait mode and if you aren't content, you can download gcam which makes the already good cameras even much more better, the pixel 2 xl only has a single lens and it performs better than all these high praised quad cameras of the new budget devices.

As per design, that's what luring most people, cuz of punch hole camera design and stuff, if you're all about design you can go for the newer budget ones to suit you, the older flagships aren't ugly either.
School him bro

I don't where you buy your own devices but the v50 is still expensive AF. You might even see people selling a V50 with crack on its screen at more than 120k
Check aliexpress.

I can relate, I bought Nokia 7.1 (2018) instead of the newest Tecno of the same price range.
I'm not regretting.
Good camera
Strong and luxurious body
Snapdragon
4/64 with very good multitasking capabilities (no reloading every time you want to do another thing)
And I have already upgraded to Android 10

I personally opt to stay clear of these 2nd hand phones. Unless I'm buying it directly from the person who has been using it and I know him and trust him. Otherwise most of these refurbished phones come with issues like unofficial software, poor battery, replaced screens that aren't as durable as the original... Etc.
I'd advise anyone to just buy the latest midrange phone. After all the performance is usually just about the same. The main advantage of the old flagships is that they usually have very good camera and their screens are high quality display like Oled, Amoled...with features like high refresh rate, 2K resolution.

It hurts me to see people buying phones that the performance, camera and hardware quirks are really not that impressive for their price tag,
most of the time the only thing they have going for them is the battery life.

But why not invest that money wisely by getting an older flagship, there are lot of older flagships devices that has gone under the radar due to unfair backlash from critics, or maybe people don't like their skins on top of android or their prices have just dropped, either way that doesn't debar them from being excellent devices.

I'm not a marketer of any sorts, I just want people to realize that there are premium options for them, and some of these devices are; Lg v20, Lg G6, Lg V30, Lg G7, Lg V40, Huawei mate 10, Sony xperia xz3, essential phone ph-1, xiaomi mi mix 2S, Honor 9, Honor 10, moto z force, moto z3, Google pixel 2xl, there are so much more I could mention but I'm typing this right out the top of my head, so I might not remember some. You can see the Lg was the most mentioned device here, that's because they've been unfortunate with selling those devices as they were launched as flagships, those phones slipped under the radar because they didn't get the attention they deserve, I'm not promoting them in anyway, Google is your friend, check for the phones I listed here and check how they compare with new budget devices and tell me what you think.

As for me, I'd pick an older flagship rather than a new budget phone, anyways that's what I wanted to share.

Exactly, I am currently using an LG G7+ thinQ, I bought from Aliexpress for #97000 including delivery, it's better than all those yeye techno phones and the likes, it uses Gorilla glass 5 front and back, IP68 water resistant ratings, Snapdragon 845 SOC, I am wondering why many Nigerians don't go for it and other Older flagship phones, but it occurred to me that most Nigerians aren't tech informed and it's sad

Honestly the misinformation about tech is sad, but if they're happy with their device it's good enough for them...

Extremely great choice with the Lg G7, that phone is marvellous!

Bro did you get the G7 new or refurbished cuz the refurbished on AliExpress sells for around 55k excluding shipping.

Yeah bro I get your point, but if you know where to look you can get really good refurbished phones even new ones on AliExpress, and the refurbished ones looks new and are functional..

For instance my older cousin came to me about last year and said she wanted to change her phone from the iPhone 6 to 7 simply because her friends were intimidating her with their iPhone 7, I had to convince her to buy the refurbished Lg G7 on AliExpress which was way cheaper and trust me I had to do a lot of convincing, she got the phone, I installed gcam for her and she's been thanking me ever since grin, honestly the phone was really dope, looks good as new and works good as new too, even now she tells me her friends are lowkey jealous she switched to Android that was much better than their iPhone.

I ordered it on the 31st of July, before the government put a monthly limit on online purchases/spending inn foreign currency on Naira account to $100 per month, now it might be a bit hard as now you can't spend more than $100 per month on a MasterCard Naira account, except you open a Domiciliary account
