The navigation bar? Check under full screen display. It's not available on all devices apparently.

LOL. I knew about the lack of some features from the CN update. In the next two weeks, global rollout will be out sha so we move. I don't know why they removed some features though.

If any feature is not present it will be due to performance issues. That's why the MiUI 12 and A10 for device has been in testing since June. If they couldn't get as feature to work as intended it's best they get rid of it than it having a negative performance impact.

For instance only certain models with AMOLED displays got Super Wallpapers. There's a reason for everything. At least they rolled out A10 for the RN8 as well.

If there's any way to get the features working right, it'll be present in subsequent update.

It has never been needed for manual update. But I would advise you hold on, the update has been rolled back, they have gotten the numbers they need for this phased rollout

Emui has an excellent sidebar/floating windows which I now miss. Maybe I'll do some research to see what approximation of it I can find

I get it. It's just weird that almost half of what makes the MIUI 12 a "new" UI is somewhat, and somehow missing on that of RN8. Man has resolved to unlocking bootloader... We move.

MIUI 12 on RN9S gave the phone an absolutely total make over. It's like owning a brand new phone all over.

The best part about Xiaomi devices is the Dev support. Plenty of custom ROMs to choose from.

If you have already downloaded keep the file, once you get an OTA and it carries the same version number use the already downloaded one.
