Relocation most times is not about the money. Some get good jobs some dont. But nothing beats staying in a system that works, good health care( buhari amd family use foreign health care imagine), good opportunity to change careers etc. You are also guaranteed a good future for your kids. I have not met any Nigeria regreting since i came here. This is me coming home at 11.30 am last week without any fear of my safety. Nothing beats that bro

Bro would you mind if I ask you couple of questions please?

why do Nigerians in abroad engage in crime and drugs in order to make it?
The people doing legal stuff are just managing to get by with bills, tax both home and abroad?

It is obvious you talk from a place of pain and bitterness. It isn't anyone's fault you are tied down in Nigeria.

Crime has no race or color and anyone who is criminally minded will engage in crime. Many people have jobs that pays well above the bills as savings/investment funds are counted as bills particularly, when it is targeted savings.

A few may be struggling at this point but it is a matter of time and circumstance. As far as they can live a decent life, I am sure they are grateful.

I know nothing about traveling, Just fortunate to make little bucks, But my mind is out of this country after the recent massacre, The thing now is I want too stay in a good country and don’t reduce what I make

If money is your major priority, find a peaceful african country and establish your business there. Canada has everything a sane country should have but making money isn't easy over there.

Canada
United States
Uk
Or other 1st world countries are wonderful for relocation

If you fall into this categories Don't abandon your career to move
- Your earn 200k upward
- you have finacial backup
-you hav running buisness
-you are doing well

If you fall into this categories you can consider migrating

-you jobless
- you earn 150k below
-you fall below average standard
-you don't have any running buisness
-you are managing

Canada is a wonderful country but its not as easy as you think... You make cool income but gov is waiting for your tax... Things are pretty expensive unlike the states...

If you doing well just go for a visit and meet with nigerians over there to give you more life stories
Dont quite yet...

Goodluck

Rubbish. I know people onn750k that relocated and they are doing in Canada.

Some people are saying trash here. I know someone that was earning 800k monthly and still immigrated to Canada. I was shock.

Your 200k is nonsense. You cannot even rent a clean flat on that salary in a good location in Lagos. Most clean flat Ina good location Is around 800k and above, I am not talking about worn out houses oo in Bariga or Abule Egba.

If you already have kids., hahaha sorry is your case. School fees will almost drain it all. To live a comfortable life in Lagos as a family man, you need a steady income of 1m naira monthly, 12m per annum. Anything less than that you will still struggle.

That is why life is much easier for successful business men or entrepreneurs as they can afford whatever they like limitlessly unlike salary earners.

If you leave nija, that will be the best thing you have done for your kids. Everything is not about money, but sanity is priceless.

You can plan who you want to be in 1year, 5years, 10years and yes you can achieve it.

There is dignity in labour abroad, having a car is not luxury unlike in nija that if you have anything on 4 legs, you are king in your mind and suddenly begin to have superior power.

You asked about Canada, so i can confidently tell you, if you are not lazy you can buy your home on mortgage within 3years. UK, there is no guarantee except you get a professional job.

The benefits being abroad far outweighs the negatives, as stated earlier, you will pay monthly rent which is the major salary burner, followed by insurance then food and bills. As long as you are not living beyond your means and working hard, after paying all those things i listed, you should still have almost 500CA$ left, approximately 150k monthly. You really need to be prudent if u earn minimum wage and work 8hrs/day.

The support system here is fantastic, and that is why you need to be happy paying your taxes. For me about 40% of my income goes into tax, but guess what you still get tax returns, govt will pay you back some of the money.

Don't let anybody encourage you to stay in that country where nothing is guaranteed, all you see is a smoke screen in 5years. One policy can easily render you jobless without nobody caring. Here they monitor the figures closely, and try to close the gap.

This place is not heaven o, unemployment is here too, applying for job is a skill, but all the people i know who borrowed money to process their application have paid back and settled down.

Wish you all the best!

How can someone say it's easier to do business in Canada than in Nigeria. Which kind of business are you all doing. You have access to Canada a very rich nation, you have access to the USA, the richest consumer nation on earth. You have access to Mexico and south America. That whole region between north to south America is filled with wealth. You have educated people who are very conversant with technology and most of all have the money to spend. Doing business in Nigeria isn't easy. Many Nigerians don't have money and can only afford the basic essentials of life.

you were able to see opportunities because you have money from earning the foreign currency. When people are based here, capital becomes a problem, they have not even fed well or handled their basics talkless of having spare cash to see opportunities. So staying abroad for long made you have the wherewithal to see opportunities and invest in them.

The man you quoted has an American passport aka options, His opinion on relocating abroad should not be taken into consideration. When he lets go of that passport, then one can begin to take his opinion.

These morons don't even realize the children of all those government officials are abroad. The people governering you don't even believe in the country they are governing. Analyze that for a second.

That Ibedun dude is a tribalist and Buharist. Those two characteristics are enough to gauge his lopsided way of reasoning. Another thing is: most Nigerians suffer from the most extreme version of Stockholm syndrome.

I am convinced he isn't thinking Nigeria will change for the better, he is only pained he doesn't have the capacity to emigrate. He is an hypocrite like Desmond Elliot who wrote IELTS in 2018 in an attempt to relocate at least his family to Canada and is bashing his fellow celebrities today for supporting end sars.
