Is Now Clear That The North Feeds The South by NNEWIsuper: 9:08am On Oct 29, 2020 |
From recent events about the #EndSARS saga and its aftermath food shortage and hike in price in the south, is now clear that the southerners largely depend on the north for 98% of its food supply.. That's really pathetic, yet they're lands for arable farming in the south better than the north. Pathetic to say the least! 1 Like |

All regions have their competitive peculiar advantages. If Nigeria should harness the strengths of all its geopolitical zones and do away with ethno-religious sentiments, it will become the pride of every black man in the world. 36 Likes 3 Shares |

I beg to defer with you on that .The south is the one feeding the North..thier leaders receive free money from the proceeds of the oil from the south , that is why they are Lazy. On the other hand, the North makes available a bulk of the agricultural produce in Nigeria , which the South purchase with thier money and everyone is happy. The North has never fed the south for free at any point in time in the history of Nigeria . 41 Likes 3 Shares |

Liar things are more costly in the North at the moment.
Anything that comes in nylon is a overpriced now in the North.

ahiboilandgas:Onions is equally as costly there, just two bulb difference at 500 naira. And should I remind you the grocery gold there which is fish. Fish is like diamond in the North. A full fish of 300 naira in the south can go as much as 1200 if you are able to even find it in the North. I've been there 8 Likes |

NNEWIsuper: We can't all be farmers bro! You closed the borders and imposed import bans on rice, beaf onions etec... Remove your ban and open the borders! We will be buying foodstuffs of better quality from ECOWAS countries at very cheaper rates, that will give us time to face the more important job of making money from our places of work. You feed nobody actually because you collect the last penny for every food items sold...It's like the Igbo trader making mouths about clothing Nigerians or being the reason Nigerians drive cars because he sells cothes and spare parts! Are the people in Cameroon and Tanzania not wearing clothes and driving cars?? Understand? 5 Likes 2 Shares |

fineboynl: Tell them ooo. They are actually starving Nigerians with their monopolistic bans and price fixing! Most west Africans who are comparatively poorer to Nigerians, actually feed better than Nigerians because food is cheaper in their countries. Nigerians don't eat meat that much these days and you can notice the net effects on the appearance of a typical struggling Nigerian. We lack protein! Beaf is costly because the fulani with the help of the government has monopolised the business and are now fixing prices! Go to even neighbouring countries like Cameroon or Benin republic, change 5k naira and buy meat there. Come to Nigeria and use the same amount and you will see what I mean. Open the borders ahbegi! We want to import from other countries, after all almost every stuff being produced in other regions of the country apart from the north, can also be imported into Nigeria. The government is only protecting the herders from foreign competition.. 13 Likes 1 Share |
