Good evening.
Depression is taking over me, as am having disturbances from every angle from family and friends.

I finish HND and i am kinda jobless, but i have a business that i am running and I can say I am okay with the small money i am making because I don’t depend on anyone.

I came with a decision to further my study on scholarship and met my guardians with it, but they didn’t show any support of it, rather they told me to get employment.

I did my things now in secret, and i am making progressive effort.

I took that decision because time is going and its not by my side.

Please how should i convince them when i got the admission finally?

Thanks in advance

What kind of scholarship are we talking about? Because that will determine the kind of advice I can give you.

hmmm chase your dream, irrespective of whatever people will say, financial support will come along the journey, only if you apply wisdom before starting. the journey.

If you couldn't convince them before going for the scholarship thingy, what makes you think you can convince them afterwards? or what difference is any advice here going to make since we don't know them enough to be able to predict what they can do or not do?. I think you should be able to figure that out yourself since you know them better.

I wanna believe they didn't give their approval because of a very strong reason which could be finance related. So what magic are you expecting to happen within this short period? and I'm sure they have other plans too.

I'll advise you tripple your hustle so you can fund it when the admission comes out and don't try to disturb them as they already made their Stance clear from onset ; Which is, get a job. They have their reasons. Carry your cross dear.

As you have started to do your things in secret, also get the school fees money in secret and start the schooling in secret. Your guardian don't owe you anything.

That's nice. What I'm worried about is this:

If for some reason the government stops funding the scholarship, what will happen to you? You can go ahead since if you get it you'll have the chance to further your education for free but please don't stop that business you're doing. You need to ensure that you're still earning so that if you have a negative outcome, you won't start from zero.

I have fund that I reserved to take care of the programme.

And also I will continue doing my business.

Thanks

You for ask them if Dem get job for you ?

People really think finding a job these days in Nigeria is a walk in the park.

If you don't have a marketable skill, no job for you oooo.

you better focus on your business and grow it, you'd be better off than having a 9 - 5 job in no time.

They ask you to get employed because of the cost of sponsorship and they want you to work and train yourself

It seems they are having their own family financial difficulties and needs to face others too

If you can save pls save and train or sponsor yourself and they will add the little support they have for you
