Help me decide abeg, I just want to upgrade from redmi 7 and this is exactly why I am not sure about getting RN9 again since I think it would be like using my phone all over again (redmi and stuffs) although I believe they are different. I don't take picture so RN 64 MP doesn freak me. For 6s+, I want to have a feel of iPhone but I fear I might not have the same freedom I get on my android coupled with the fact that the phone is old and I might end up not enjoying the phone. Clear my misconceptions on both phones abeg

If you could stick to regular social media, taking pictures and light games or just one heavy game then you're good

If you love movies but you don't have a pc then you could download one or two delete then download one or two others

Apps sizes has drastically reduced ever since iOS 13 so if you could update to the latest iOS version that wouldn't be much of a problem
Don't worry about updating apps only worry about updating heavy games


Now put everything I said together and think...... can I fit all my needs in a mobile device in less than 16gb?.....remember the phones system would take a part of the storage and iPhones don't support sd cards

As a former user of both phones, iPhone 6s plus 64gb and Redmi Note 9 Pro 6/128gb( I know this is not Redmi Note 9)

My advice is

If you are a gamer and you want a little more freedom, like downloading hacked apps, games n stuffs, go for the Redmi Note 9

If you are a casual user that spend time on social media and light games only like temple run etc, then go for the 6splus cos the phone will heat up whenever you throw heavy games at it and you don’t use a cooling fan with it.

If you want to enjoy your 6splus, make sure it’s on ios 13 and not on ios 14 and make sure the phone is 64gb and above.

Both phones camera are good but Redmi Note 9 has some extra features and also charges fast so the choice is yours.

Most iPhone users are likely to pay for music, not because they can't download then or okay them through some apps but because they feel it's stressful


Unlike Android that it'll automatically go to your music player, on iOS you'll have to move it from downloads to the folder of the app.... That additional step becomes stressful and they'll be like rather than wasting my time searching downloading and moving why not pay plus the feelings of class the iPhone gives make you wanna spend more and be more comfortable

Older iOS devices on iOS 14(6s, 6s+, 7, 7+, 8 ) are known to drain high amounts of battery/ have poor battery life so it would be better to leave it at iOS 13.
Only 8+, X, XR, Xs, Xs max to 12 pro max wont drain battery on iOs 14.

100 pictures captured with my RN8 would fill up the 16gb storage on an iPhone 6. In fact 60min video recorded in FHD and 60FPS would take all the 16gb let alone video recorded in 4k quality. I use the 128gb variant of RN8, still not satisfy and someone is considering getting a 16gb iPhone when he has better choice to enjoy a 64gb Android phone, only because he wants to have a feel of iOS

We have almost enter 2021, Android/Google is taking over... No level again for iOS, but nevertheless, they might still thrive till 2023 until they absolutely become obsolete like BB. If you're a tech oriented person, you should have known that by now. Needless to say, iPhone market share have start to decline already. They lost their third place to Xiaomi recently. Therefore, I'd recommend you opt for Redmi9 base on your 70k budget. Use the remaining change and get a nice headset
