And how much too can be the maximum amount in a savings account.

And how much can be deposited into a current account.

Wow, didn't know you could get up to 18% if you left the money for up to a year. I did for just 91 days the only time I did it.

The longer the tenor/duration, the higher the interest rate.

Note that the rate is not constant; it changes in line with market conditions...

Certainly not eco bank. They deduct more than they pay so at the end of the month, your balance doesn't go up but down.

Are you sure you do not withdraw more than 3 times a month?. I was told by the Bank officials that Interest can only be paid to me if i did not withdraw more than 3 time in a month.
You can ask them in your Bank for the % of interest paid, am not sure if is fixed of negotiable.

The only risk I see is your inability to maybe invest and get higher returns in other things because your money has been invested in treasury bills.
TB has the highest guarante of recovering your capital any day any time. Govt cannot get that broke. Last last, Cbn will print your money.

GTBank is still at 3.6%. Diamond bank (HIDA) is still at 4% for N1m and above. I confirmed the rates from GTB CC and my account officer at DBP. Plus, it should also be factored in that interest will be forfeitured after 3 withdrawals
Is this still the current rate with GTBANK? 3.6% Per annum ?

And is there any VAT charged on the 3.6%?

Currently? I don't know. Contact their CCare

As for VAT, there isn't. But withholding tax will be deducted
