Spyder, I remembered this your fence work some years back, did you cast a pillar on the plot boundary markers? How did you make/retain the marker code/numbers visible?

Beside, the vegetation around the houses of where this project is gave me memories of Enugu when I did a month industrial attachment with Anammco. It was truly beautiful then.

We construct Bio digester (Modern Sockaway). Quick to install. No waste removal. Little maintenance. Odorless. Little space required. Doesn't contaminate ground water. Check my signature.

What we usually do in fencing corners where land beacons with identification numbers are placed is to copy out the land beacon numbers, cast our pillars on top of the existing beacon by digging deeper, placing the beacon and positioning the iron rods around the beacon. Cover the top of the beacon with a type of nylon sheet to enable you prove that the beacon has remained in its position, whenever there is an argument.

Cast the pillar over the beacon, when the pillar is dry, plaster the fence and get a good artist to come and rewrite the beacon numbers on the position of the new pillar. The numbers will now be showing sideways on the new pillar position.

Thanks.

Good morning Sir, there are information that is supposed to be available before the costing of any house. They are;

1. Location of the building, some materials are costly in a location and cheap in another location.
2. Type of land, is the land dry, waterlogged or swampy, what type of foundation is being anticipated in the location?
3. Size of the building, that you said 6 bedroom bungalow doesn't mean the house cannot be so big as to build 8 bedrooms. The room sizes can also be so small that it could cost same amount to build 4 large rooms.
4. Details of the building, the cost of building a house cannot easily be determined if you dont know what other features the building will have, does the owner need a helipad on top of the building? Does he want an aluminium roof or stone coated tiles, will all the rooms have beautiful POP ceiling designs or just normal ceiling?
5. Duration of construction, if the house wont be built this year, the budget might need to be increased because of possible inflation next year.

But finally, every building costing should start from the building plans, it is the plans that will explain the complexity of the design, and most importantly, the size.

Well explained, thanks. But to be honest, i don't know anything about building. Can you still tell me how much i should have in my pocket. I need to get idea of the amount to pursue after, it doesn't need to be exact. Is it 20M or 30M?

I dont like giving people advice that might not help them, if you have even N5m naira, you can use it to build and complete a bungalow, same way as N50m cannot complete some bungalow plans. Anything between these two amounts of money can build a bungalow and complete it.

For ground to first floor, N12 - N15 for each block lifted.
/
Why not go to the nearest gym and get those knuckleheads and muscle hanks to come lift blocks for free since they are looking for ways to build muscle? The best part is you will not collect gym membership fees from them. It is a win:win for both parties involved--they get bulging muscles for free, you get blocks lifted even up to 10th floor for free.

We have started casting the slab of the decking........
Well done oga Spyder, this building is massive. If you don't mind can you share the square meter of the decking? Over the years, in most of your construction my observation like others, you don't use temporary stairs for your decking like others asked. It's an eye opener, I believe you save money by casting the stairs first to get access to the decking casting. I notice some of these mass project you handle you chain the internal lintel together, though you answer the question in one of the post. Is it really necessary to chain the internal lintel together? That question is really for the structural engineer. Isn't it better to do the decking once rather than twice? (just an observation). Can you educate us more in that aspect.
