Depends.
If for short time and timely objective, globally recognized cert
But for long term, master's. While you would spend more time and money, you could make some worthwhile connections

If you Are a banker, auditor, business developer, all this social science jobs., engineering, go for professional certification or MBA

If you are in the bio science field...e.g R&grin, go for MSc

But if your intention is to cross to academics... I.e you are interested in a phd.... then u need ur MSc irrespective of your background

I think you are right. These days I feel that professional certifications have more weight than M.sc in the labour market
