Yes, funds are safe. There's however a holding period of 3 months. No idea about the current profit.

The interest is not guaranteed. Most investors lost around 5 percent YTD.
It is euro bond fund and not the regular euro bond and they have made losses in the last 2 quarters.
For the High Yield Dollar Note the interest is guaranteed.

Is there anyone else having this problem? Last month I tried to top up my Stanbic mutual fund but the money kept bouncing back after two days, I tried it three times and it was the same problem.
Two days ago I tried to top up again and I just received my money back this evening.

The account number is correct, it's the same one that I've been using since last year.

It happened to me last week. The money was deducted (from a GTB account) initially but was reversed after some minutes. I tried the day after and it was finally successful.

Please between FBNquest and investmentone which one is better in terms of customer service, interest rate etc. I want to open one of the above because I no longer understand Stabicibtc fund managers. I know treasury bill rate is almost none existence but how can they keep crediting my account with less and less interest no matter how much I top up? The daily interest is approximately 1.7% sad Please has anyone else noticed this?

Most of the time there is no visible between in interest because their MMF rates especially is determined by Treasury bill. Treasury is now below 1.00%. In the alternative you can move your money to equity fund. That's where I think will returns will be fair now but with that; you will need to be constantly on guard as even the capital is not guaranteed when it starts it's downward movement.

The easiest way of toping up with them is to do a direct transfer to the fund bank account (e.g Account Name: StanbicIBTC/ First Trustees Guaranteed Investment Fund - Bank: Stanbic IBTC- Account Number: 9202475343). Then in the Narration/ Payment details/Reason for payment space, you indicate your own mutual fund account number and name. I have done this twice this week and my account was credited without hassle.

Thank you! Although my appetite for risk is very low right now and that's why treasury bills and money market has been my safe haven all these years. I guess it's time to try their guarantee investment fund and others.

All mmfs irrespective of the fund managers will always continue to have a less and less rate regime; as you noted Tbills is down so don't expect any mmf rate to move up. You can come over to Investment one for the unique product VGIF at the moment with 7.5% guaranteed rate it's a good alternative to mmf or Tbills.

The investment One updated website has capital and interested combined together now. Does it mean the annual rate is now compounded daily or it's still six-monthly?

When you login to the dashboard you see total investment ie your worth assuming you want to liquidate.
It does not mean your daily accrued interest is compounded yet till payment date. If you picked the option of reinvest the interest becomes part of your capital and you earn interest on it from that day ie it's compounded. If otherwise the accrued interest will be paid to your bank account. Currently under the new website, to see your principal and daily accrued interest separately, click on mutual fund and fund subscription.
Get my phone number on my signature if you need further clarifications.
Thank you for your patronage.
