The thing is turned off since I got the phone. very tiring something.

Force restart your phone by pressing and holding the power button for 10 to 15 seconds till it vibrates and check if it still happens.

I have also done that like twice, it seems to be a software problem then.

Good evening guys, so I have a question...my redmi 8 is just 3months old, when I got it at first i get atleast 15hrx SOT, ryt now the battery drains fast that I barely get 10hrz SOT...I get like 8-9hrz now...what could be the cause? i know the battery performance will drop overtime but I wasn't expecting it to be this soon...my screen brightness is not always high cux i barely go out. I only watch movies and just browse a little most times...am not a heavy user.

I have updated my redmi 8a few hours ago from miui 10 to 11 about 1gb. I was expecting an android 10 but to my surprise the phone is still on android 9. Now another update has pop up again, this time it is 1.7gb. My question is I hope this is android 10?

Its because your phone isnt 3 MONTHS OLD but 1 YEAR OLD. This is because phone battery drains even when not used for a period of time, which applies to every type of phone.

Yeah it's android 10. The Q in the name shows that. Just know that there's no noticeable difference in the appearance. I'm on android 10 too on 8a

Nowadays, the major culprits are unstable networks and hot weather.

Have people around me using that phone for a year nw, one is a bricklayer self no issues of peeling anywhere at all never experienced it, maybe some chemical spilled on it.

Nothing poured on it. Just peeling on it own.

This is something I have noticed from all the years of using smartphones, battery life of smartphones depends on many things.
On a cold day the battery will drain slowly even under intense use, thus giving out good SOT but when it is hot, it will drain fast even under minimal use.
Network instability is another thing that drains the battery even in idle state.
So before anyone say a phone's battery is bad should also take these things into consideration not only the usage(light or heavy)

Maybe you leave your data on much of the time; data drowns battery even if you are not using the thing.

Firstly, why 9mobile 3g when 4g networks dey. At least Airtel. Lol
