My passport was delivered to VFS since Thursday morning and I didn't hear a word from them. Had to call them on Monday only to be told it was received and they don't know what's delaying updating me. They sent a tracking number 3hrs later which shows no record found when I try to track the passport. Called them again this morning and they said it has been processed and ready to be sent to IRCC today.


Someone else got confirmation of theirs been with IRCC since Tuesday November 3rd and hasn't heard anything since then.

I just hope the delay won't be for long as I am yet to book a flight and the holiday period is fast approaching with flight fare price hike.

As for my suggestion; I’m not a risk taker, so I would always go for safe options for myself but the final decision is in your hands.

Thanks for your reply. I have been in construction for a long time and want to do something else with broad career opportunities. I don't have a specific experience or degree in the field but I am convinced my skills from managing large construction projects can be transferred to supply chain management. It is a tough call but what would you suggest?

For those that have gotten PPR, congratulations. For those that have submitted their passports for stamping and visa issuance, you all need to be patient. REASON is this, once your passport is received at VFS and transmitted to IRCC, what IRCC does now is to go through all your documents AGAIN to confirm those with fake documents mostly Financial documents and also possibly calling banks to confirm authenticity of transactions at a particular period in your statement of account (NOT OUTSIDE O), most times they call sponsors to find out if they know you. It takes time, in a max 2-3weeks, if you are clean you should be getting mails to pick up your passports/visa. So just be patient. you are already at the final bus stop.

You and I received bvl and ppr on the same days We Al's submitted the same day so we re in the same shoes. I called VFS yesterday and what they told me was that our passports are still at the embassy. I guess they re tryna stretch our traveling towards the end of the year as much as possible..

I stand to be corrected. I doubt if this information is correct. Vfs does not check your documents. Their job is to check the validity and authenticity of your passport. Please gurus, we need your input on this

Can you help with the VFS phone Number you use to contact them, because I have been trying this phone Number 0815 019 9900 and it's not reachable. I sent my passport via DHL on Wednesday last week and it got to VFS Abuja on Friday. I have not gotten any email of confirmation from them. Am kind of bothered.

if your 4 or 6 months statement ended as 31st nov , they wont go beyond 31st nov... so you dont have anything to worry about

2) I have not even gotten medical request not to talk of passport request
3) No, only done biometrics so far
