I also want to use this medium to appreciate Great & Honorable Members of this forum for your self-less contributions, based on experience result-oriented inputs, guides & suggestions. It was really helpful.

Big Shout out to,

One thing this Study Visa Journey has taught me is PATIENCE

My little advice for TRV hopefuls & Future Applicants

1) I will encourage every applicant to fulfil all righteousness when crafting their Canada study application

Remember "No Two Application is the Same" (there are many factors attached to this statement such as - different academic backgrounds, work experience, Marital Status, the Visa Officers reviewing your application & lots more)

2) Avoid any form of assumption that a Visa Officer won't need this or that, do your due diligence.

3) Show Career/Academic/Logical Progression most especially your Degree/Work Experience should be resonating with the Program you are going for

also,

Show Progression in the qualification of Program you are going for e.g
- B.SC grad (2.1) going for a Masters
- B.SC grad (2.2) & HND grad going for a PGD/PG. Cert/ Post Baccalaureate Diploma

If you have a 2.1 and you want to go for a PG. Cert, endeavor to show cogent reasons in a convincing manner in your SOP why you are going for a PG. Cert instead of a Masters Degree

4)- Assume yourself as a VISA OFFICER, assess your documents, read ur SOP to urself and point out your errors.
- Also regarding ur SOP, avoid any form of Plagiarism to the bearest minimum.
- Show Originality when writing your SOP,
- Be 100% Patriotic - don't say unpleasant things about Nigeria on your SOP, how you can upgrade your career and also help in the improvement of the Nigerian Economy after studying in Canada is very Paramount, talk about it in your SOP.
- Avoid Grammatical Errors in your SOP
- Subheadings Will make your SOP readable, don't write your SOP in Composition/Essay Manner
- Any thing you mention in your SOP, make sure you have a document that confirms it.

5) Read Success Stories of Applicants that have gotten Approval in the Past, most especially from 2018 till date, you might just see an applicant with your exact kind of profile that got approval which u can learn one ot two things from.

6) Also, if you are on the verge of starting or submitting your application, endeavor to ask questions in the forum on things u are not clear of. There are many things you gonna learn here that an agent don't know about or won't even tell you.

If you are an Applicant going for Masters/PH.D, this thread is a training ground for you to learn how to do research before the real research, so don't feel bad if someone tell you to start reading from Page 1, u gonna gain a lot.

7) Take your time and read this Thread Explicitly.
I never had an iota of experience on Canada Study Visa application. Reading this thread in my leisure period for a year helped me tremendously and this made my application strictly DIY (do-it-yourself)

cool Finally,
after Submitting your application, Talk to God to take Control/Charge of your Study Visa Processing, cos in every situation (good or bad) God will still be God.

As we all know the motto of this forum
"it will end in Praises (in frankrobbn's Voice)"

I'm wishing all applicants awaiting a decision from IRCC a FAVORABLE ONE

Remain Blessed Honorable Sir's & Ma's!!!!
Congrats bro, I'm happy for you, keep shining!!!. Pls my sis Application has been approved too, how do we get the decision envelope via return courier and can I collect for her? and what's the cost implications? Thanks

Am new here, Please I have lots of questions, and would appreciate answers from you guys, am currently a HND (polytechnic) graduate, and would love to further my studies, I would love to know the programs out there to apply as polytechnic graduate, and also the process involve with affordable college to apply for, lastly the amount needed to make this happen.

Please I will appreciate all suggestions and answers as I look forward to getting started on this
Thanks

Hi,

With an HND, the program qualification u can go for is a Post Graduate Certificate (PG. Cert). in Canadian Colleges

If you can mention what u studied in your polytechnic, then members in house can be able to suggest programs u can go for, and note that the program u can go for must relate/align with what you studied or Job you are doing that is not related to what u studied in school (work experience)

As regards Affordability , Education in Canada is not cheap, you have to be financially ready.
After showing proof of funds for TUITION of over $14,000 CAD (depending on the program), u av to show availability of $10,000 CAD for your One year living Expenses (compulsorily)

Hello people, Una Good evening o.
As the procedure advised, I have followed this thread from the first to now 521, I have read every single page and trust me I have learnt on here more than my days in any other online research.

I am a 24years old going for an undergraduate program at the University of Saskatchewan(Admitted)

I have no previous post-secondary school program,
I did a professional course, of course, by Google earlier this year. Over the study gap, i have been doing social media page managing and web manager, not related to my course, been doing it to keep up.

I am a self sponsor.

I'm getting ready documents for a study permit, pls I need all the necessary advice, criterion and things to put together orderly.

@lekiboboe
@frankbrobbn1
I have read and seen your good handiwork in helping prospective candidates, Mine will not pass you by.
Pls i need your help.

It will end in Praise. Amen

It doesn't matter if the tuition fees is paid from the applicant's account. However, it adds more credibility to your application if the funds came from your Sponsor's account.

Thanks for your reply.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Dampops(m): 7:18am On Nov 15, 2020
Hello bro,
The process has been haphazard and it seems VFS Abuja and Lagos are on the different service wavelengths. However, what has been established so far are:
1. The process of passport return takes minimum of 2 weeks from when you send to VFS till they send a notification that your package has been received back from IRCC
2. Once you get that notification, try to reach them on phone to prompt a follow up email from them which contains the consent form and payment details. It seems the new fare of N12,750 was effective November 1, 2020. So for those who sent their passports this month, they are likely to pay that amount. Please note that this mail could drop in your junk or spam box, so always check that. The new consent form has a space for inputting the address you want your documents sent to...

Therefore, if you just sent your passport under two weeks, you’ll have to calm down and wait for the notification/message from VFS/IRCC. In fact, once you get the ‘do not reply’ message from IRCC which shows details of your counter foil, then it means the TRV has been stamped and passport about to be sent back to VFS.

Hope this helps...

P.S: Pardon any typos...had to rush this...

If you submitted your passport in the last week of October, you should’ve received notification from VFS by now. Have you received an approval message in your GC key account? If you haven’t, then IRCC hasn’t stamped your passport yet.

That’s the first indication...

If you got a mail from IRCC, then try to get VFS on phone tomorrow. It’s not an easy task though,..

I am sure that the 12,750 or 11,310 isn’t just courier fees alone...perhaps, it includes payment to VFS for being the conduit between applicants and IRCC. In any case, it’s important to get the email from VFS detailing the amount to pay. I’ll advise people to check their spam boxes.

Dear Bleep

The decision envelope for your application, tracking ID No. xxxx has been received from the IRCC Office on 11/12/2020 11:09:35 AM and will be dispatched to the Canada Visa Application Centre where you applied or at the courier address provided by you at the time of submission of your application. Please note this is an auto generated e-mail. Please do not reply to this email.

Your decision envelope will be returned to you via the courier service offered by the VAC. Collection of decision envelopes in-person at the VAC is not permitted until further notice. Please refer to the “Buy Services” page of the VAC website for further information on courier services offered by the VAC
Regards,

Does this mean I will have to pay the 12k regardless of the 2-way courier that I paid to DHL? I haven’t received the form yet from Vfs and payment instruction, what should I do?
