Let me confirm from new installed DPO in town.

The DSS, police, vigilante and intelligence officers of the correctional service should form a joint task force headed by the state government to root out these prison escapees.

These guys are on reprisal attack as two officers were shot dead yesterday when the hoodlums attacked a divisional headquarter in igueben yesterday.

Night raids would be appropriate and the public especially family members should make information that would help arrest them available.
Identities might need to be made public but not sure if that's against protocol.

If the state police commissioner cannot effectively police a single state, he should be fired immediately and a more competent person brought in.

Under normal circumstances, the IG ought to have honorably resigned or fired from that job...

Taking back that state from criminals should begin with door to door search, and investigation along with road blocks in strategic locations... making peace with the populace of the state, getting them to your side will facilitate and enhance this process.

We told them that for next two years, Edo state residents will regret ever doing what they did. It is one thing to kill police officers, destroy police stations, their operational vehicles but it is another thing entirely to set over 2000 convicted hardened criminals free. That's madness.
