Let me use Oshodi as example, over 20 agbero will collect levies from just one driver & in return driver will transfer the aggression on innocent passenger by increasing transportation cost. Now, sometimes when they are trying to collect money by force from drivers it will leads to fight between driver & agbero of which while driver was trying to run away he might drive very tough thereby lead to accident.


Also, they do contribute greatly to most accidents we see on highway due to their excessive charges. Drivers are unable to maintain their vehicle properly due to excessive charges collected by NURTW thereby making the vehicle non road Worthy which in turn leads to accidents

These NURTW don't check veichle Tyre, numbers of passengers, engine conditions, because all they know is for driver to load their buses & they get paid. functions of NURTW is to always check each vehicles doing interstate transport every morning to know the vehicle is in good shape, check Tyre to know it's not expired or worn out, organize seminars for drivers from time to time but they don't do that except to collect money & bounce

Government is lacking in its own responsibility to properly regulate the Unions and you want it take it out on others, why? the same government officials find some of their members as a willing tool to unleash terror sometimes, because they have a lot of members the society have dealt badly with and they are happy to bring other people down to their own sad realities of life, not all of them though. NURTW as a union benefited our society a lot, sadly they have not embraced PR and effective Marketing to tell their own story, making other people to tell their story for them. Scrap which union? Do they realise how many people they will be throwing out of job? Should anybody contemplate that, I will advise their leadership to approach the court. Why not Scrap APC and PDP for the violence during electioneering campaigns and the huge embezzlement during their respective reigns? They're are political tools for our politicians hence, it can never be scrapped and government doesn't want to regulate or checkmate their activities either.

NURTW as a union benefited our society a lot..... Lemme learn about their benefits in your area. Much I remember some public bus drivers want them off the road. Their activities should be restricted to the park not at every B/stop. Don't miss up NURTW with Public Bus Drivers!
