Good morning my people. OJODU BERGER Police arrested me yesterday evening. I was making a turning at that open place in front of Ojodu grammar school when they jumped in front of my car, just the way SARS guys do. It was like a movie as they corked their guns and ready to shoot. I was on a trip. I didn't want to wind down, but before I say jack, the Olosho who was with the guy I picked at ICM already opened the back door. Na so I enter their gbege finish.
They said I took illegal turning. But when it was time to write statement, they said Na 1 way I take.
When I was trying to call my connections, they forced my 2 phones out of my hand. Other drivers too were arrested. But I didnt see Danfo guys who usually use that turning too.

I was able to make some calls with the help of people around. They later released me and the car around 12.30am.
Guys, let's watch out for that turning in front of Ojodu grammar school if coming from Omole Phase 1 side. And I must add that this period is not the time to be arrested by police especially the ones torched during the protest. I saw a lot there.

May God continue to be with us on the road.

@ davit, sorry for your ordeal., it's a wrong place to turn actually.

The main turn is further down by the FRSC office.

To turn back to ojodu berger/ogunusi /isheri road if you miss the u turn by FRSC office, you must use the turn @ omole phase 1 estate.

Any other turn apart from those two ( there are one or two openings on that road barrier caused by erosion/ man made factors), is an unnecessary risk.

Dont like advicing people because most time their mind is already made up but let me try.
If you work monday to friday, please dont quit your job, this will give you multiple way of income and any more money you make with ehailing can support you that is if you are the owner of the car but if you are not the owner of the car and you want to quit for ehailing, well premium tears is not far away.

how much is remittance on weekly rentals now please?
Re: If You Are Uber Partner In Lagos, Please Share Your Experience Here by northbird: 2:31pm On Nov 16, 2020
Brethren,
If you don't have the bolt app, you r shortchanging yourself esp. in the evening from 5.30 pm upwards, it's surge across all districts in Lagos.

Even @ ₦168/litre from the previous ₦160, that's a whooping 5% increase in your fuel cost. In research methodology, that 5% is quite significant.

Don't just take trips without having a commensurate compensation for your inputs.

8naira increase is 5% increase.

But what is the real extra cost regarding this fuel increase.

you're only spending extra 800naira to 1200naira weekly.

Corolla use about 100 to 150 liters.

8 naira x 100liters =800

8 naira x 150liters =1200

5% increase is significant. As a business man, you shouldn't argue like this; disregarding 5% increment like it's nothing.

It looks minimal becuase you're looking at it at a small scale.

Besides, your line of argument can be used to justify every 5% increment like it is nothing till the price doubles.

I'm not arguing, I'm trying to breakdown what the extra cost of fuel will give you, so drivers won't come up with if there is no surge i won't drive bla bla bla (just like one of you claim)or come up with rental should go down bc of fuel increase, as if car owners are members of APC.

Spare parts has skyrocketed, you will not hear any car owner make noise about it, we manage the situation also, and keep trying survive the situation, APC/Buhari has put us.

23 x 150 = 3450

145 was like 6months ago,

Uber actually increased their fare, so that balance it, there has been consistent surge,

actually is more money on drivers pockets.

If you're owner, any driver that want you to reduce rental fee, bc of 8naira increase in fuel, withdraw that car immediately.

There are 1001 drivers seeking for cars everyday.

I understand that u guys have been into e hailing b4 me and I also understand that @luxurydriver gives evidence to back his statements up and wat u guys do is just talk.....I understand moovee made @luxurydrivers sell the car he uses for uber and is planning on getting another one,I also understand that 85-90% of people here don't own the car they drive(which makes them have limited earnings and complain like no tomorrow).God bless us all

@luxurydrivers sold his car, because is creating too many maintenance and downtime.

You don't expect to buy a car for 500k and not expect it not to breakdown every 2days.

Lately 50% of drivers that called me for car rental actually own these type of cars, they have Kia rio, Nissan Sunny and other problematic cars.

Usually i don't give cars to such drivers, they one of the biggest cheat in uber business.
