Description only counts in submission if the meaning of the name is not readily clear. I dont describe my names prior to submission. I simply put the domain name I am submitting in the description box.

Description is only important once the name goes live on their market place.

Even if your name is coined & without description, if it meets the brandable criteria and Sh metrics, it will get approved.

They are all brandable marketplaces, each has its own target market.

Brandbucket has more stringent criteria and their pricing is higher.

Squadhelp and Brandbucket, ( This one is too elaborate for me to type) but Brandbucket names are more orthodox and professional than SH names which cater mostly to "newer" and modern companies branding requirements. although brandbucket has been going bullish on two word .io and other newer trends (non .com , .io , .vc) in recent weeks.

What are some of the differences between their philosophies?
I think brand bucket mostly caters to more established companies and Squadhelp is more the serial entrepreneur type of names

What types of names do they approve?

Squadhelp like uplifting and positive names. and they give guidance so you should check out their latest submission guidelines.


How does brand bucket arrive at their pricing?

if you have noticed you will see that Brandbucket prices and sales are generally higher than Squadhelp for the "same type" of name (my opinion) , so I was trying to come up with a rough guideline on how to properly price my names outside the brandable marketplace, I asked this question to Keith about the pricing because I saw names on Brandbucket that were $3k - $5k and those names will be $1500 to $2000 on Squadhelp.

Which auction markets can we get domains @ discount prices?
Dynadot , NameLiquidate , dropcatch and other lesser known auction sites. the lesser the people, the more you can find hidden gems. I think porkbun expired names now go through dynadot auctions , Uniregistry expired names also used to go through dynadot but since Godaddy acquired Uniregistry, they have taken over expired Uniregistry domains to Godaddy auctions now.

During the last NamesCon 2020 in September, I was able to attend due to a free ticket I got after I answered some questions from the organizers that I am a new domainer (then about 8 months in the game) and I would like to attend to increase my knowledge and network with the domain industry professionals and believe me I learnt a lot, it was there that I was able to meet up and chat with a lot of industry professionals, there is a NamesCon coming up in January ($79 to register- $59 Early Bird ends November 29) and there are limited free tickets if you have not attended a NamesCon before, just go NamesCon.Online and take a survey, you will be asked some questions, answer all truthfully and you MAY get a free ticket. It was a fantastic experience and worth every dime. hoping to see more Nigerians there in January.
