We can only insnsinuate/guess. Only him knows why he defected. A lot of people thought Akpabio wanted to be Senate President but the guy only defected to be on the same side with EFCC.

Most times when government performs excellently well with projects, it is easy for them to steal money through those projects. Ganduje is good example.

The ones I fear are those that pocket the money without doing any tangible project.

If i understand how Nigeria politician behave I will say before such decision is taken there is reason that has to do with looting and finding a place to hide, to avoid EFCC palava after leaving office.

The north is afraid of Tinubu. He'll jeopardize the northern hegemony agenda. Hence, the north wants to excise him.

Wooing Umahi into the party is the first public step showing the birth's new choice of direction for 2023.

The permutations are:
1. Come what may, APC will still have some states in the west.
2. Giving Umahi presidential ticket will entice the East.
3. Unlike Tinubu, Umahi does not have the clout to cut off the North Elrufia as Umahi's vice will ensure a strong northern grip on power.
4. Elrufia will eventually take over from Umahi so that northern dominance will continue.

All these are to ensure the northernization master plan is preserved. On the whole, this is bad for Nigeria, but good for Tinubu and the West, another lesson for westerners.

I just hope he finishes most of the project he started because such people will be using state resources to play politics as opposed to focusing on development.

Chibuike Amaechi lost track completely when he joined the APC in 2014.

Instead of finishing the amazing job he started in Rivers, he was always into politics, having series of meetings and attacking Jonathan every day.

As a result, he abandoned many projects, including the state-of-the-art Port Harcourt monorail.

The people are too foolish, a governor who has done that much u are supposed to love him and support him whether he is in PDP or not.

But some people even if PDP rules them for 20years without building one single road for them they will still love it

they are too foolish. Especially the anambra axis, they are the ones hating this defection so much and abusing him.

why are you like this nah.... Is it because he entered APC?... I don't like APC that much but seriously they ain't that bad if you remove hate... As for Umahi tell me how many Old Eastern governors better than him. He and Aks governor have tried, you can't compare them to Okezuo, Hope or even Wike... So give him a chance, everybody isn't supposed to be in one Party in the old Eastern zone...
