After looking at our society, I came to conclusion that Nigerian girls, even African girls in general were mostly brought up in a mostly patriarchy society, their mothers, people they listen to or look up to as a woman, are probably married to patriarchs, and they have to live in a family where they have little to no right to decide and make decisions of their own.

This situation I believe make them turn to cheap tactics and their cunny ways to get what they want, this same habit is the same they pass to other ladies. They are taught to see men as people they don't have power over, but can only exploit.

That is African girls were trained either by the society or their mothers to exploit patriarchy, in some ways or the other.

If you look at some society that have a culture that allow married women to work, you will realize that women from there don't act like beggers, I am a Yoruba guy and I have been to Akwa-Ibom and Portharcourt, I can beat my chest that ladies from Akwa-Ibom (at least those that I met then) don't beg like Yoruba girls do, I noticed girls from that side would rather do runs than depend on guys. And if you look at Akwa-Ibom culture you will notice that the women work very well, in fact during my short stay, I notice they have more women farmers over there, early in the morning you will see them riding their bicycle going to the farm(I love Akwa-Ibom ladies, even God knows).

I don't mean to ridicule any gender, but if you are a girl and you disagree with my inputs, only comment if your phone or laptop your are replying with was bought with your own money alone.

Sir, you mention the list reason why ladies collect money. Here's why I said so, and that's my verdict.
I have sat and sit to think about the general reason ladies collect money. Nigeria is my stating point and also a real example.

Generally in Nigeria for a lady to collect a guys money anyhow two things are involved.
1. Is either she has jazzed him or;
2. She's giving her self as remuneration for money or they nigga is intending to smack her so he will be giving her money.
Generally things have spoil, the world have lack etiquette and decorum towards lots of things. In Nigeria the existence of sex is an evidence of true love. It's hard to find a chastity relationship. Everybody seems amoral.

Now In Nigeria, the reason ladies collect money is because the guys want thier body. A girl without value can be easily lured with money down to her underlines. So ladies collect money and give guys thier body. No two ways about this and guys give money to have the ladies. I have seen working class females who still fell prey to this again.

On a final conclusion, what matters is the individual's choice. I once date a lady whose family were average, for the period of 1+ she has never ask of anything like money and I have never ask her for any thing like her body. And we were strong and firm then till we broke up and it was not the two factors that split us but due to some irreconcilable differences. There are ladies who have made up their mind never to collect from a guys just that we are too unlucky to fall Victim to such seldom ladies. This my own verdict !!

Your findings r totally wrong. Akwa ibom girls can beg the most. "Come and buy for me" is their slogan.

The ladies u see riding bikes to farm are mostly elderly ladies with families to take care of and not the slay queens.
Blame not Patriarchy for this. Blame your country! Men die earlier in Nigeria because they have to fend and fight for their families to survive naturally being the stronger ones. It is actually a curse!
The government never made it easy for anyone.

Now as a young lady imagine a society that before u r done with high school, colleges are waiting to receive your application and companies are waiting to take u up as soon as you are done with college, simply because of your good grades and not favouritism. U receive a fair chance as a man does. You get to be picked cos you qualified and not told its a mans job.
U don't lobby to get a regular job because the government owes it to you that you are properly placed.
U can afford to buy your car and house (loan) before u hit 23 and no man is asking u to spread leg before he pays house rent for u.
The government twisted it all for us! Those women developed survival instincts too so they have to beg from the stronger gender to survive and most times go through hell in men's hand to get what they want. Outta 100 ladies 80 are waiting to settle down to a well to do man. 20 are the okonjo iwealas.
The society ridiculed them. They have more to offer. I know some ladies who were brilliant in school then 30 years later they never made it past house wives, but they were unbeaten in school.

Go out with a girl in Europe and u find out that splitting bills is normal. In Nigeria, its a mans entitlement and got nothing to do with patriarchy. The ladies are empowered. Everyone stands equal.

Your shit hole country still doesn't take girl child education seriously. They think its a waste to spend on a girl. Why won't the men individually prey on them as they have been displaced in the society?

l blame it on African constructed cultural, religious and societal views that has place importance on the male gender and patriarchy. Growing up you must have probably heard the saying of " the husband/ father is the bread winner and the mother/ wife take care of the family" even schools which are avenues of socialization taught such. As such those girls grew up with the mentality and homes in which their father or husband's must be the bread winner of the family even if norms are changing that thinking has been deeply planted in their heads. that's why most girls get in a relationship and feel entitled that the money they get from their boyfriend is rightfully theirs in the relationship.
such girls can only educate themselves by themselves
