Have you used the supafix adhesive in your projects before or have you seen it being used before.
I am curious about how the job turned out.

Also, is it cheaper to use the supafix than cement?

With the higher price of cement now, I know folks would appreciate another reliable alternative to bypass use of cement in certain aspects of building that generally people use cement.

I do use the adhesive for mosaic work or marble price ranges from N2000-N3000 per 20kg for good product, they are lesser one like 1200 or so but they are not that good.
And you can’t mix it sand

So in conclusion it’s not cheaper

So, just to clarify both for me and other interested parties looking at this..

Since supafix doesn't need sand, the cost of cement and sand for a typical tiling work is still lower than the cost of supafix?

Do you mind responding in numbers say for a job totalling 100 sqm.

Thank you!

Land is that bad? If Pile i will say no reason to panic because its imowe, your depth will not be much, i give respect to Aventure, Segcymoore(Abbatoir) very skilled in pile work. Pile point if much that is where is scaring...but to say the fast is best form of foundation if done properly.

Max is you spend ₦12m for foundation.

Ok let’s use 100m2 of both wall and floor tiles as case study.

WALL TILING
Using of normal OPC cement for the job
Let’s assumed your wall is in a well level gauge.

No of cement(50kg) 20bag*3000=60,000
Plaster sand 2.5 tones —————-10,000
Total ——————N70,000.

FLOOR TILING
Assumed the floor is well balance
No of cement (50kg)40*3000=120,000
Sharp sand 20 tones ————-50,000
Total —————-N170,000

In summary
If it’s Wall tiling it will cost you some of N70,000( to cover 100m2 area.

If it’s floor tiling it floor tiling it will cost you some of N170,000 to cover 100m2 area.

Adhesive/ super fix
-No sand needed for the wall here.
-We are using good product of 2500 per 20kg here.
Calculation 100m2 area.
WALL
Nos of superfix(20kg)45bags*2500=112,500

FLOOR
Sand is needed here as leveling to desired height with normal OPC cement and this most be done earlier before using of this superfix.

Nos super-fix (20kg) 50bags*2500=125,000
Sand is need here

Sand 20 tones======N50,000
Cement 30bags*3000=N90,000
Total=N265,000

Summary of superfix-Wall. N112,500
Floor N265,000
Total N377,500

Ayuba( Imran roofing) continue to prove that beyond selling quality and affordable roofing sheet among his peers in the industry in Nigeria, he has also without doubt place integrity, honesty and trust in the top most priority of his business. I met him here online and gone through many positive reviews about him and now I have confirmed personally that all reviews about him truly worth it.
I Made payment for roofing sheet to him and he ensured that despite the challenges along transit of the goods to my location. He always come in to resolve matter amicably and ensured goods were Successfully delivery.

I strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to carryout roofing projects and be rest assured that such person don't need to bother about the stress of Successfully delivery project to good conclusions.

Excerpt from the 4th mainland bridge project stakeholders meeting held yesterday 17th Nov. 2020 at Igbogbo palace hall, Igbogbo.

..................... The bridge will take its landing at bayeku and run through ayetoro, agunfoye, Igbogbo and come out at Elepe back to Erunwe, ishawo to Lagos Ibadan expressway. The project engineer said no house(s)will be demolished because it's going to run on canal. They warned the Omo onile not to start selling the land close to the road Alignment because any building built along the right of way will not receive any compensation because as at the moment, the final design had bn concluded without any building conspicuously sighted on the alignment. Land speculators are equally warned not to start buying lands close to the proposed road alignment because the design can be varied during execution. The construction will take 3yrs and is going to be tolled with hightech technology equipment better than what is obtainable at Lekki toll gate plaza. The project will automatically generate employment for professionals and artisans . Pls pass the info around your area that this is not to fall into the prey of omo Onile. The road is going to be consented to a contractor that will look for fund and execute, they are not likely to delay because they will want their money recouped on time.

Note : I got the info from a friend who's a stake holder at Igbogbo, Ikorodu

It wld surprise you that estate actually have more than Omo Oniles - The most Omo-Onile wld collect from you is N500K or a little above (over the span of building)... but for estate, you might be paying for life depending....

Can you please shed more light on the fees we might end up paying for life in an estate. It is important to know all these things before making any commitments.

Thanks in advance.

30k annual service charge is very reasonable. Please what location is this? Is it an open neigbhourhood or estate? Where I live currently in Surulere, we pay 160k yearly. It covers security, cleaning, electricity (lighting of common areas), waste disposal and general maintenance.

I am not too impressed with the way/kind of method our Builders here use in doing Pile foundations (Boring Method), there is a very high possibility of a breakage/fracture along the line, especially if the depth of your Pile is high (say like 15m and above).
The biggest problem is when the Concrete poured inside the Jute-bag covered Pile hole, does not form uniformly
I have seen ones that cracked in-situ and the house ended being bent. angry angry
I would rather prefer the Displacement types (Drop Hammer)

I would rather companies who specialise in that area, do it.

Though, maybe they have Upped their game in that area, l cant say for sure.

Segzy, l think,
BTW, is it a Storey building or a bungalow you intend to build, and is your land very swampy?
What is the depth of Pile recommended? Pile is not cheap o.
