sapphiere:One thing I observed about this country is this: when you’re fighting for the rights of the people always expect a backlash from same people you’re fighting for because the government will use them as a tools of getting back at you, last time people stage protest for Endsars Government used thugs and soldiers to invade and kill them, right now ASUU is holding government on their balls to make sure they meet with the Union demand enabling them to pay salaries of it workers that are lecturing these students who is filing a lawsuits now, the government is there they didn’t sue them for not listening to ASUU demands they’re suing the ASUU who is fighting to make sure everything is okay with their academic staff. 4 Likes |

They are calling it 9 months strike forgetting covid took like 5/6 months of that period.fg started negotiating with ASUU after covid...covid was the main reason students didn't go back earlier in my opinion. What I mean is even if ASUU called off earlier, students cudnt have gone back wt the covid in full force. The question for FG should be;why didn't they start negotiating with ASUU seriously before end sars protest? The Nigerian govt care less about the students because their wards are not in the schools. So people shld calm down. ASUU is mainly fighting for the Nigerian students. If only they know! 1 Like |

complexBoss12:You guys talk ahit alot. A professor teaches about 5000 a year and writes book. A policy maker make damn policy for the whole country. The money they are paid isn't the problem. They shouldn't be comparing them selves. Professor would be there for as long as he wishes, while the senators has limited time. If you check properly money is not entirely the problem. |

Another reason why, school na big scam... Why not sue the FG instead of ASUU?? Either ways, I'm still supporting you guys, because had it been, ASUU monitored your progress in school very well, this won't be happening, you guys would have known whom to sue instead. 1 Like

Great. Kudos to the Law students. Hope other student bodies will follow suit. ASUU is selfish. Simple. If today the federal government dump IPPIS for the one ASUU desired which will help cover all their atrocities, they will go back to class. It simply means they are fighting for their pockets and want their own share of the national cake. It is so sad. The question is 'at what cost'? May God have mercy on Nigeria. |

teejet:Spoken like a true ignorant Nigerian. ASSU holding educational system to ransom? Are you sure you live in this country? Typical of people to speak about that which they know nothing about. Who is supposed to be sensitive, ASSU who are fighting for their rights as well as well as the rights of their students (even though most of the said students don't even know) or the so called government who has never care about the educational system and are always failing to honor previous agreements they signed because their children aren't studying in the country? |

complexBoss12: Don't mind the useless charge and bail to-be lawyers been paid by FG to make this stupid move. Though I don't like all the so-called union in Nigeria because they fight for their Belle, like ASUU, NLC etc. But na for ASUU body these slowpoke for wan start their practice. They can't sue those agbero that calls themselves senators and governors that are killing the future of Nigerians. Misplaced priority.. |
Re: Law Students Sue ASUU Over Strike, Demand ₦10 Billion Compensation by Angel196(f): 11:57am On Nov 21, 2020 |
charlesucheh:You can't condemn all lecturers because of a few useless ones. I am a graduate from a Nigerian university so I know lecturers are very hard working and deserve more than what they are being paid. A single lecturer could take more than 5 courses across all levels as well as post graduates, they mark hundreds of scripts and record them. They Go for classes for at least 1 hour per lecturer and supervise at least 5 undergraduates every session. Try standing in front of a class of 100 plus and screaming your head off till you lose your voice for just a month and you'll know being a lecturer is one of the most difficult jobs out there. I can confidently say that even of those lecturers we consider as lazy is more hardworking than most of those comedians called law makers. If you don't know your right let those who do fight for it. |
