Why did you stop attending church?

As for me, I see pastor's as hungry con artists...I believe in God but I don't believe in going to church to see/feel/hear him,I believe he is everywhere.

The last time I attended church was 2yrs ago.

Was in Church last month.

One Pentecostal Church like few miles close to where I stay. Went with my friend.

Was surprised when they started bringing cakes to the altar.. Few minutes, I saw a young man with suit and a lady with white gown, dancing to the altar. 2 seconds, they don wear ring, cut cake, do small love, chop cake, clean mouth.
Wedding finish.

I was so happy for them, the joy in their faces was awesome. That was the coolest wedding I've ever attended.

Honestly, I really don't have any reason why i stopped and it has never made me less of a Christian..

It has been quite some time since i've been to church. So maybe things have changed but the churches i have gone to never seemed wholesome. At least not after a bit of thinking, observing and questioning.

They are mostly hateful sexist places filled with self serving self righteous greedy hypocritical people.

This is my mantra, I can never do anyone no harm irrespective of what rather i just avoid him/her.. I try as much as i can to spare my things or give out if i notice you are in more need than I am..

A christian who doesn't attend church for once in his life can very well still make heaven as opposed to your judgemental self-righteous ass.

All you need to make heaven is a strong relationship with Christ, not church attendance. It says so in your bible. Your bible recommends the gathering of christians, but only to foster the faith of believers. It's not a do or die affair.

Never really stopped, mostly once in a while.
Was trying to do good, but saw so many funny stuffs in the church, pastor dey preach about having lovers, but pastor get gf, some many antics was going on, which frankly my spirit didnt agree with, so many questions n so little answers, if its answered at all...

But am trying to be good again, and right now, i no dey look anybody face for church, even the priest, once any body begin to talk in the nonsense, i am leaving.

That would be like 8 years back. There are so many hypocrites in the so called house of god, all they do is judge people, scrutinize you with their eyes and ask silly questions every time you attend church.
