Goal per minute ratio shows efficiency. That is why the debate was about. With the little time, Nacho made loads of impact.

Francis Jeffers was not a goal machine in that magnitude. Iheanacho was hitting World Class efficiency.

In 2016/2017 season, Mbappe was better than Iheanacho. EOD

That is to you but he was not a better finisher than Nacho. The point is simple.

It was never about the finishing rather holistical veiw.

That is not true. People highlighted why Mbappe was a better player but when people talked of Nacho being better, the point was with respect to his finishing ability.

Is Mbappe better yes. But if we want to select who will lead the line to finish. Some like me preferred Nacho to lead because if a team builds well, a lethal finisher will make the effort worth it.

All play without good finishing means nothing.

So that was the debate. Not just Iheanacho is better than Mbappe like many try to make it.

Point is made.

Finito.

some people just like bringing up issues when there's none...

we all know thesupernerd is one of our top men here... But how can someone who's not available at the moment take part in a nomination process? we all know if he's been around, he would be one of the top nominees undoubtedly... But baba has been busy and unavailable off late ... so stop bringing up non existent issues

grin grin, so now its goal machine and efficiency. Again who was more efficient between someone that scores 21 goals in 64 games and 27 goals in 60 matches? Or rather who was a goal machine in your own words?

Number of games does not do when one plays fifteen minutes and another play 90 minutes. It is not balanced.

Goal to minutes ratio is a clear highlight of efficiency.

Point made.

However, it was never only about the finishing.

If you're caught in goal per minute ratio, you shift to goal machine and efficiency. Okay was was Bright Dike more efficient in the Super Eagles than Obafemi Martins?

There are a lot of players ahead of them in the pecking order for France, Moussa Dembele of Lyon.

Where the hell did you get that?

In goals to minutes ratio he was up there with them but there are other factors that makes you say a better player.

The talk you are stating is illogical and I should not even bother replying.

From this talk you are saying, it is like saying someone should not State Okocha is a better dribbler than Xavi because the person is saying Okocha is better than Xavi.

You should be educative here than making jokes in enlightening debates to clear a point.

How many games did Bright Dike repeat the feat? Iheanacho did it in multiple games before getting into the picture.

This is simple logic that I should not be explaining.

No matter how you dribble around the point, it is made. It was due to Iheanacho's deadliness in front of goal that people were talking about.

Simple.

I believed all of the above and I have absolutely no shame in admitting that. Till today I believe Iheanacho can become world class with the right coach and team. Yes time is running out but it can still be possible.

Now you've shifted the goal post to deadliness in front of goal and multiple games whereas it wasn't a criteria in your initial comments. Again both Iheanacho and Mbappe played nearly exactly the same number of games in their first 2 seasons(multiple games) 60 and 64, one scored 21 the other scored 27, who was more deadlier than the other?

Iheanacho was good but not better than Mbappe in 2016/2017 season.

Maybe if they start playing him in his right position.

The point has not changed.
