That tollgate should be demolished and vehicles should be allowed to move freely there...at least to honour the deaths in that spot

It's because none of your relations was killed there that's why u sound like this.

Do you personally know anyone that was killed at the toll gate? Also, even if anyone was killed how is the tollgate operators or owners responsible for the death? Then what if your relation works at the tollgate and relies on the salary to give you data money to comment on NL.

What is Tollgate owners own in all of this. So you cannot do your investigation, take photos, take video evidence and release the tollgate to the owners so they commence their evaluations and operations? Some Nigerians are oppressive, mean spirited and stupid at the same time. People work at this place, people get their salaries, feed their families etc from all the activities of the toll. Now, if during your investigation, you find them guilty of anything or you find the owners guilty of whatever, then at that point, you go after them for that particular case or at that instance. Stop joining issues.

Tifnubu's son, you are a fool sir.

You are the wicked mumu. That is why we cannot get it right in this Country. I am not even from the Western States. Your mumu will not allow you focus, you sound like one of those mumus burning stuff. What we need is reforms, rule of law, justice for all based on truth and not this jungle justice you are accusing SARS of doing, now you want to do also. The other day, the panel stormed a Military hospital and wanted to enter and conduct investigation by force by fire. Hold those guilty accountable and stop chasing shadows, it will only lead to more chaos.

PUNCH

Never should any toll fee be collected at that toll gate again after that horrific incidence of 20/10/2020...As a matter of fact, that toll gate should be demolished and a Tombstone bearing the names of all the victims of the shooting that night be erected...

Bros, when people get killed there for losing money and u expect it to become functional again after eating people's lives there? No compensation, no nothing? Why do you think this "I don't care"? The stories we heard are enough to shot down the tollgate, so people living on it to go find another job.

We are not children when the handwriting is glaring.

So because one doesn't know anyone who got killed there means there was no shooting? Come on, don't give me that.

Don't you know how the people involved have tried to clean up the traces?

Mind you, the operators had earlier cried out for losing N700b since the protest. So why won't they be held responsible?

All they care about is MONEY!!!

They are a business that is all they are obligated to care about. They have employees, share holders and creditors that depends on they bringing in money.

Nigerians need to disengage their minds from stupid sentiments, the judicial commison should stop being foolish they should bring forensic experts in do the needful and hand it back over to the LCC that's how it's done in sane countries,.holding it up from LCC serves no purpose there should be a defined timeline for everything , some of investors are foreigners and they can bring the Lagos State government to international arbitration court over this.

Smh. The only thing that matters to them.

The real reason they had to bring in the army to shoot peaceful protesters so as to stop them from distracting their business.
Your minister and Attorney General,, Malami says it was hoodlums that shot at Lekki gate.... This old folks can lie. So after hoodlums shot, the army claimed LASG invited them after denying for a week that they were not even at the scene, despite video evidence. Fear naija politicians.

That's a scene of a suspected genocide and until it is cleared, it will remain out of bounds. If the LCC wants to be helpful they should bring forth the footage of that's night and stop telling unbelievable tales.
Otherwise they will have to wait until the judicial panel concludes investigation!!!

I guess you missed the part where I stated the judicial commission needs to bring in a forensic team. If the judicial commission after 1 week can not conclude an estimate of people present at Lekki a timeline of events and a list of those injured /killed after 7days then I guess it all an excersize in futility.

It's a public space with a major commercial interest for which the Lagos state has signed a concession contract there is no impetus to have it closed for any reasons once the facts have been established, there are no more evidence that can be extracted from there after 7 days

I believe if they ever require the services of forensics they will hire one but for the mean time the place remains a site of the most controversial issue and until it is unravelled it will stay closed.
Besides it's commercial value cannot be equated with human lives lost on that day.

When the Lagos state government is taken to court over lost revenue by LCC they use your statement in their defence and we'll see how far that gets them.

Close down an important road and service for weeks because of emotions.
How ridiculous can Nigerians get.

Emotions you say?? It's a crime scene under investigation by a legally consituted body and no sane judge will order such a place be open cuz I does any chances of obtaining further evidence or sort from there will be lost forever!

Abeg let me ask, have they opened the bridge ?
Please be reminded, though a judge seats as the head of the panel none of it's decisions are judicailly binding, any conclusions would need to be argued in court.
The army could have chosen not to attend the panel same as LCC and any other parties that have shown up so far.
Many were killed in Edo there were incidents in Abia, Oyo, Osun, Kwara and Rivers but nah only Lagos dey give all of una hard-on. Very hypocritical set of people.

It's an investigative panel, it would make recommendations to the governor at the end of its seating which the state can then "choose" to act upon. Let's assume the state would do so in good faith.

its an investigation for Christ sake! same way a police investigation can and will be argued in court! but the scene of the crime will be locked down until the case is decided in court or it is declared no longer essiental to gathering of evidence!!!
Dont forget the LCC havent been exonerated of their alleged role in facilitating the crime!
