The same Buhari that closed borders so that money would not fly out of the country is gladly helping fund Niger Republic. grin

What a joker.

We just wanna enrich Niger at all cost...

Anybody know why??

I believe the Soraz Refinery in Niger Republic is owned by a Nigerian. One day we will find out the truth regarding this deal, how people are using their positions to simply enrich themselves at the expense of the nation.
Yet some people will open their mouth to say Buhari is against corruption after Gandollar and Orji Kalu.

We are an importing nation. It is cheaper to import from Niger than to drive petrol truck from apapa to the north tho. So why we con dey cry.
But when it comes to rice and cars from Benin Republic and textiles from Ghana importation is bad and we need to close the borders. angry

What's there to explain? That there's a difference between importing petrol from Niger and other countries?

Is the keyword import regardless where we import from?
So after writing this, you still believe in One Nigeria?

1. Nigeria imports PMS. That is a given fact.
2. What dies it matter where we import from? Why the noise when we are to import from Niger? What is the difference from importing through seaports and importing from Niger?
I need someone to explain this as I don't understand it at all
The same goat that said importing from Benin Republic rice is holding the country to ransome and closed the border like he did in 1984.

There is a 99% chance that refinery is owned by a Nigerian. You see all those investments to Niger republic; the roads, the railway lines... they needed it to facilitate the importation of the refined products.

Only people I feel sorry for are the idiots who still feel the President is competent.

You know yourself, always on Twitter barking at anyone who writes anything about the president
The Fulanis wants to colonize the entire Nigeria.

This is what's going on.

SORAZ is a joined venture by Niger Republic government and China. Niger Republic is an independent and sovereign nation Even China being the major investor cannot claim the ownership of the refinery.talkless of private individuals..
Whichever way Nigeria has been importing PMS from far foreign countries. What is wrong if the country buys it from a neighbor country which will reduce the landing cost?
I am amazed at how people reasons this issue.

Hypocrite the refinery dangote is building in Lagos State you are amongst the people shouting favorism, you want to have your cake and eat it too? Complain about everything, Ipob Zombie? why will a Nigerian build a refinery in Republic du Niger, when the biggest market in Africa by a far stretch, is right here at home in The Federal Republic of Nigeria?

Mumu Wailer try & get a functioing brain, why pay import duties, on a commodity you can produce locally, & still get paid in dollars? It is simple economics, the ignorance of the vast majority of people like you is the problem.
The reason is because Nigeria government(North West) wants to strangle the economy of the South, enslave and colonize them.

The news we read and hear in Nigeria are mostly fluffs, duds, worthless and absolutely vacuous. We have too many attention seeking people all over our landscape from pastors leaving their pastoral duties to shout and peddle false prophecies and political rubbish to activist hustlers, jobless opposition and so on, they just open mouth to fill their airspace with needless and pointless rants.

We;ve been importing petrol for decades till the day before the news about importing petrol from Niger broke, these noise makers had no issue with Nigeria importing petrol from abroad, but all of a sudden they have issues with importing from across the border which is actually cheap and a better deal.

What is the difference? Is it because we are importing from a black African country instead from Oyinbo country?

Nigerians are so physically and mentally unruly and I honestly think many Nigerians need psychiatric evaluation.
We have been importing rice for decades but because Buhari wanted to continue where he left off in 1984 he closed the borders and started selling bullshit about local rice production, greater IGR and cheaper products that never happened.

Buhari is simply a hypocrite serving his own agenda.

They didn’t build any but at least NNPC wasn’t spending 85 billion without them producing one drop of refined products. At least they were functional.

What is the state of the refineries under the current minister of petroleum? More importantly, what was his campaign promise?

You keep referring to the last 16 years; please what of the last 4 years.

You my friend qualify for idiot of the day; I just didn’t know I will meet you so early

I won't be a tad surprised if the refinery is owned by one of our corrupt politicians...

When Sowore said minimum wage should be 100k, most persons thought him mad but truth be told, that is what it should be...The amount of money politicians steal is mouth watering...

Where I come from, this is what they term "Good morning in the evening". cheesy

See what the man said "First it was a railway construction and now importation of fuels"... Now let's reason guys. This goes to many of you: the purposely blind and the dumb, the Buharideens and the Buharididinrins, and more importantly the 'One-Nigeria' loyalists. Let's argue objectively.

1. First of all, how can you say there should be 'One Nigeria' when there is not effective border-control policy in the North? Are southerners really that foolish? You are aware that the drivers, abokiis you see in the south all come from neighbouring countries, many without a valid means of identification. And you say Nigeria should be one? This was such a grave reason that U.S had to temporarily place a ban on Nigeria because of infiltration of nomads and illegal entrants and lack of proper means of identification. Yet you shout 'One Nigeria'. Can you see that your going to school was a waste and you can't reason?

2. Do you know that the Fulanis were the one of the last set of people to invade this country called Nigeria? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hausa%E2%80%93Fulani

Why is this a point? Simple. Many of them have their ties to remote Sahel countries of origin like Niger and Mali. They know their roots as it's fresh in their memory. Most importantly, the fact that the British drew borders for Nigeria did not render them as foolish as the south. The northern borders are simply an imaginary line to the Northerners (just like the equator); hence they believe they are one with 'Niger' people. That is why they're building rail to Niger and building an oil refinery there. They shout 'One Nigeria' but its a ploy to fool you completely. They are one with 'Niger', not you. Fulanis know their roots; you don't.

Meanwhile, politically correct fools in the South still chanting 'One Nigeria' have their western brothers cut off in Togo and Benin and the southern cut off in Cameroun. And the British will tell me to view a Kanuri man as more of my brother than someone who bears a Yoruba name (e.g. Emmanuel Adebayo) and speaks my language. Please how do you define idiocy? Worse still, which black man can go to England or U.S and divide their lands and join peoples together? If its sure for you today, travel to U.K and tell them you want to join the peoples of Worcestershire or Staffordshire to the people of Ireland and see whether you won't find your ass landed in jail.

We know we were previously importing refined crude but the understanding is that it's only for a while. However, successive governments have come and go and nothing is done about it.
This Niger issue now makes it obvious that the FG is not interested in repairing out refineries.
If you check it, that refinery in Niger is owned by a Nigerian.

Your statement reveals that you are most likely a failure and a dependent person in real life.

When the first born in a family of 20 children has 4 broken down cars in his compound but goes to the last born child to borrow that ones only car to do school runs everyday....

And you open your mouth and support what the first born is doing.

You must be a fellow failure like him.
The first born should sell his four faulty cars and use the money to buy a new one or he sell three of his faulty cars and repairs the last one.
I government should think of privatizing the refineries.
Atiku was right on this, we just misunderstood him.

So Algeria and Saudi Arabia are rogue countries. There are many developing countries running their own refineries effectively. What the FG ought to say is that it is incompetent to run refineries.
