My Brother...that shit happen to me too.
It was the very first & last time I felt heartbroken

...after the breakup that fateful morning, I just went to work as usual. And then went for lunch break at noon.
I ordered for food, tried to gulp a few spoons of rice...and that was when I discovered I didn't have the appetite to eat.
I left the whole food n drink on the table and went away.

That moment, I realized...heartbreak is real

A matured man(45-49 yrs) was seen crying bitterly this morning in a bank at surulere, when we tried to console and asked why he was crying, he said the girl he has been spending alot on dumped him for another person. Infact i almost slapped him, so i was wasting my sorry because a girl broke ur heart.

Guys come in here, let's share our emotional sides in break up or failed relationship.

One key standard I set for myself is: Do Not Enter A Relationship That You Cannot Walkout. Be it intimacy, friendship, job, commitment, anything.

I will cry for betrayals. E.g., if my girlfriend went behind my back to say bad things about me or try to seduce my man, it will pain me more.
It's always good to have plan B in any relationship you are invested in so you won't be taken unaware when the eventuality happens. Signs are always there but we prefer to ignore it.

u think he's crying for just the relationship? age is not on his side, his mates have grown children instead of encouraging him u want to slap him...na ur type dey make person commit suicide. please allow him, let him cry and relieve himself of all that stress, crying is good for the health

Honestly you have a point, because if your heart gets broken by 49 & you are completely single with no children, It's a lot of problems.

At that age, only very few women want to marry you. It isn't even about money at this point, unless you are stupendously rich like Ned Nwoko. Even at that, these Women like Regina don't really care about you, they are there for the money.

That's why I wonder when people make statements such as Men don't suffer the impact of late or delayed marriage. Every sensible man should be married by 35, at worst 37. Once 40 hits, some ladies would start rejecting you.

When it has not happen to you, all what you will be spitting around is nonsense. When you never venture into a real love affair with a woman you think she is the last bust stop, all you will be sayings is jargons.
We are not talking of Bleep and go girl
We are not talking of flirting here
We are talking of real affair...

I said a lot of jargons too when it has not happen to me then. But when a woman I loved with the whole of my heart turned me down, I know a kind of trauma pain I went through most especially when I remember those nice time I had with her, time spent with her, money and all the promises we said.

She killed my emotion, feelings for woman for I trust no woman again. It appears to me that women are same up till now

It happened 3 weeks back but i never cried. The relationship was my first.
I was sad that night but woke up entirely another man the other day. Woke up a free man, a very happy man.

Things like this will always happen until you accept the fact that your partner's emotion can only be controlled by himself/herself.

He/she might love you today and tomorrow ceases to love you. One must always prepare for the worst in every situation. This doesn't make you a pessimist rather, one that understand that life is not well balanced.

Yes. He was my first love. My pastor separated us. I was 16 then. He joined choir because of me. One day we were caught. My pastor reported us to our parents. Disgraced us in church on a Sunday service and banned us from singing in the church.

He became aware that something was going on between us.
oh oh so sorry about that, African parents' mentality...he should have just given both of you advice and sex education

Hmmmmm, can't agree less

desgiezd:
It's very easy to criticize the man who cried. It's quite convenient to call him names but pray it doesn't happen to you for he who feels it knows it all.
Perhaps you haven't experienced this kind of pain. It's an inconsolable kind of pain, it comes from the deepest part of your heart and you just see tears rolling down your cheeks on their own, you try to stop it but you can't. You would want to be a man but that manly, macho grandstanding will also fail you. Those tears are shameless and they can come anywhere! It will be as if the whole world has collapsed on your head alone. More especially if she's the one with whom you have no secrets and on whom you have invested all hopes and you feel you're through with looking for and toasting again.

Brothers, pray it doesn't happen to you for all I have written here are my personal experience!

this poster is insensitive, irrational and have never been truly in love. That's why people like hiding their pain from others. I do cry when people i truly love leave me and that's because i truly loved them..
