Two Job Offers: I'm Confused by Blessynene(f): 2:41am On Nov 25, 2020
So I got two Job offers within one month, with a big and smaller organization but both salaries are the same.

I accepted both but started with the bigger organization, and in less than two weeks am almost breaking down from stress. The workloads and deadlines are unbearable though you will grow career wise.

Now the offer for the smaller organization is still open and am tempted to resign from this one because of the workload and take up the less stressful job.

Please I need urgent answers so I don't make any huge career mistake. Thank you my fellow nairalanders

When you were chasing the two

When you were offered the two

When you accepted the two

You have been making your decisions, so continue to do them abeg. You know what you want. So stop seeking validation here

...I am here laughing in Spanish.. Kee yaselves..

To all those who quoted me and said I was being childish.. I am sure most of you have gone to the OP DM to plead with her to link you all up.. I perfectly do understand and that's not a bad thing.

What I was emphasizing indirectly on my initial post was being GREEDY for holding on to two job offers... There are many people looking for jobs out there.. At least one more random person somewhere would have been happy having that second job. You should have worked hard to get to were you are, I commend you but remember this life doesn't revolve around you.

I will repeat it again to the OP.. You had being make your decisions yourself LONG before now. You don't need to come here to seek validation.. Do what suits you...

Nigerians don't want stress, but they want money, how can money come without stress at least at the starting point of every career or business.

lolz. Very funny.

What's makes you go for the one in the big organization.
Certainly not the money!
I'm sure it's career growth and all the "efficies" that comes with it.
So you should stick to it.
No pain No gain.

First @the bolded, you never knew the workload of first job will be so stressful before you started,
So why are you so sure that the second job won't be so stressful also,
Cos I believe workload in a smaller organizations could be even more stressful than big companies.
If you think you can grow as you go on the first job, and build your career, please keep working there and keep the job.
But at the end of it all, the final decision is up to you.
All the best Blessyn.

Resign and pick up the other job.

Don't come and go and kill yourself for another man's business.

But how are you sure the other job ain't gonna be as stressful as this?

Choose wisely.
Just like a marriage scenario:

A lady wants to be a professional singer in yrs time.

She's in a relationship with Michael Jackson and Mike Tyson.

If she agreed to marry Michael Jackson, her musical career is a Goal. But Tyson is wired differently.

A word is enough...

Shut up if you have nothing reasonable to type.
It is your type that makes this forum annoying.

No member in Quora will ever give a reply like this to another member's travail.

They rather read and pass if they have nothing to offer to the topic.
Annoying Nairaland kids everywhere.
See his siblings liking and sharing the trash he posted.
Birds of a feather!

Since the bigger one will build your career, stick to it and start to develop much interest in the job, you won't notice the workload and stress anymore...

Nene here's my advice; nothing good comes easy. See this present stress as a process. The stamina you'd acquire there will help you become better at multitasking.
Like you mentioned, your career stands a chance of experiencing growth and don't forget the contacts you'll build while you're there. So suck it all in and make the best of your time there.
I wish you all the best.

Something similar happened to someone i know, but in her own case it's the small one man business(One boss, 2 staff setting) that stressed her life, she complained daily, luckily she got an offer after working for almost 6 months in a more structured firm for same salary, she resigned immediately and is enjoying her present place. So you better resign if you are not comfortable before you loose the 2nd company's offer and before it makes you depressed, sad & unnecessarily angry at people. Go for the other company ASAP.

Nothing beats peace of mind in a work place; All the best

You picked the present offer because of the prospects, isnt it? You shouldn't chicken out because of stress, it will get better. Personally, I would prefer a work environment where I am challenged to do more and learn more. So I implore you to stay. When you are bombarded with targets, you will be stressed, but with every target comes a lesson and knowledge to gain.

If you decide to stick with this job, can you recommend me for the other offer or the present one? (incase you decide to resign from it)

Beyond prosepect. the bigger organization puts you in better position, the ease of transcending to greater opportunities will be much easier leveraging on your role in the current company. No pain no gain. Do what pleases you.

I have many people looking for job here, why am I even advising angry
