For those that are conversant with Student Direct Stream, do you know if they allow them to use funding letter? This NSE seem to not favour those going with Assistantship and Scholarship.

I have sent emails, raised webform and even asked via Twitter for Clarity regarding the financial support document. From the letter they sent, it really doesn't consider students who are not self-funding themselves. And if I can't use my funding letter, I wouldn't wanna take the risk of submitting it and being denied unfairly for not following instructions.

Please frankrobbn, chocs, and other gurus in the house, you people should advise us.

Wow. Great.

I already gotten my bank statement with more fund than what I submitted initially. Also downloading equivalents of Duolingo to IELTS then add a letter telling them if they can't use the Duolingo that I used for admission, they should ignore the NSE and add the mybankstatements to the initial proof of funds and process via normal processings.

Good one bro, we move.

Thank you at Dampops for this post.

Do you or anyone else have a link to the list of unallowed foods?

I've checked countless times but didn't find it. I don't want to waste money to buy something that will eventually be thrown away.

My Application History

- Letter of Confirmation of English Language Proficiency (from the SCH. I graduated from)
Congratulations bro, more blessings

Please, the English language proficiency from the uni you graduated from:
1. how does it look like?
2. Was it addressed directly to your sch or it's just a "to whom it may concern" caption
3. From whose office is it generated (e.g Your faculty or department, registrar, etc)

If you have a format you can drop it as well. Thanks

Good morning everyone.
Pls can someone give me the hospital address for medicals in Lagos.

Also something is taking me to Lagos next week monday 30th and Tuesday 1st, is it possible to book for upfront medicals for that day?

If not, can I walk in very early, and plead my way through?
Thanks for your reply.

Has anyone travelled with Turkish Airlines before? Do they require any covid-19 test? I'm sure now that Ethiopian Airways doesn't require the test if your destination is Canada but since Turkish is cheaper for me, I want to be very sure.

I actually thought you would be able to pay immediately after the passport is stamped. I hope Canada doesn't implement a new lockdown with all these new covid cases.

Even if they implement a new lockdown, it won't affect international students. The last lockdown didn't affect students whose study permits were approved before March 18th. A new lockdown would definitely not affect students.

Hello.
Please can a 2.2 (cgpa3.4) apply for masters in Canada?
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 17 by Akannitommy: 7:17am On Nov 26, 2020
I pre-booked one through wakanow on Turkish with the hopes all visa stuff will be sorted by early December. I was told by the CRX over the phone that it was required so I paid for a test and scheduled one for 48-hrs before my expected departure date in mid-December. But apparently I don't think that is true any longer. I may have to call them to see if I can cancel and apply the funds to my ticket balance but maybe the 55k is also a small price to pay just in case a crazy immigration officer proofs difficult by insisting. I think it was a conspiracy between the clinics and the travel agencies to LIE that it was required just push business their way.

I doubt. Some schools do accept 4 point GPA over your final two years. For 2.2 students seeking to go to Canada PGD is the way.

As much as I'd want to give this a thought as to support the rationale for the delay in issuing final approval, it is still very wrong!

Most applications are being processed outside of Canada, Nairobi, Kenya to be specific. If they could issue BVL to paper applicants, then nothing stops them from issuing out final approval

I honestly don't know. However, we've had two different sets of approvals this week from the IRCC office at Lagos. This may indicate that they're working more now and you should get a response between now and early next week.

Hey guys, i can see alot of people are getting the email from ircc that they have been chosen for student express entry, and are required to send bank statenment using mybankstatenment and ielts. My question is will i be needed to write ielts as i have done it before and i graduated from a school in the UK, and also my dads bank is first bank and i dont see it as part of the banks that offer a mybankstatement option.
if i was given this student express entry letter how would i go about the bank situation? because waiting a long time to opt out of it is not an option for me as my school starts jan 12.
Thank you

Ielts has a validity of 2years and you can provide the regular statement if the mbankstatement isn't available from your bank. If your IELTS has expired i think you have to rewrite

What I am also thinking about is, if I eventually get to Canada via the study route, I can apply for express entry in my graduation month(if that will be possible), and include Canada education. With that and a good IELTS score, my CRS will be 500+ even without Canada work experience. Please advise accordingly, thanks.
