Pls my hubby would like to pursue is Msc in cybersecurity in Canada and preferably New Brunswick institutions and looking at Sept 2021. Pls, i would like to know if me as his dependent can also go with him with a work permit visa while he study. Kindly pls advice.

no you can not because of home ties. Rather wat u can do is when he gets there, he applies for a spousal work permit for you. its better and seamless

should I apply for ielts and do the exams cause they didn't ask for bank statement

Can you register and get the IELTS results in 14days and sure you can make the required test scores? if yes, you go ahead.

I honestly don't know. However, we've had two different sets of approvals this week from the IRCC office at Lagos. This may indicate that they're working more now and you should get a response between now and early next week.

Please I sent you an email I would be grateful on your reply.

What I am also thinking about is, if I eventually get to Canada via the study route, I can apply for express entry in my graduation month(if that will be possible), and include Canada education. With that and a good IELTS score, my CRS will be 500+ even without Canada work experience. Please advise accordingly, thanks.

Learning French and taking a french proficiency test and having some Canadian work experience would be very good.

As much as I'd want to give this a thought as to support the rationale for the delay in issuing final approval, it is still very wrong!

Most applications are being processed outside of Canada, Nairobi, Kenya to be specific. If they could issue BVL to paper applicants, then nothing stops them from issuing out final approval

If they are issuing BVL, then I think it's a matter of time before final verdicts are sent

You can try but nothing is certain. Your hubby can join you immediately you land. but stay at least a month or 2 before applying for him

Yes oo.
Spoke with them twice just now though.
Passport received by the embassy may take 1month plus at the discretion of the embassy as said by their representative.

Submitted on 12th Nov to Lagos vfs
Received on 13th Nov by OGBONTARIGI FESTUS(LOL)
First mail was 17th Nov with tracking ID

Got 2 mails on 20th that it is been sent to Abuja and would be forwarded to IRCC and d second said it is been forwarded to IRCC.

The lady confirmed it's with the Embassy since 20th.

BVL means final decision has been made. Have you done your medicals?

Yes you can but it will put a heavy financial burden on you because you have to provide for child care while you are in school. You are better off leaving your husband and child as home ties and apply for them as soon as your study permit is approved or you land in Canada

From the mail sent. The account is to show sufficient funds for your study for 6 months. And 12 months of banking history.

I don’t get emails from VFS but I usually check on the tracking platform and saw this now... thing is nothing has changed on my IRCC portal... no counterfoil or LOI.

Is this normal?

I guess so but others usually get their status changed or counterfoil message on their IRCC portal. Do you any of these? Cos nothing has changed on my portal.

I got this same message too and two other messages.

But my profile still reads 'you need to send your passport '.

No Loi or counter foil.

Those that have passed this stage please advise on the next course.

Thank you
