Forty-seven cows were reportedly killed after a train derailed in Osogbo on Wednesday.

The Nation gathered that the train was heading for Kwara State when the accident occurred at about 3:09pm near Power Line, Osogbo.

An eyewitness identified simply as Oredola said the train was heading for Kwara State, but when it got to Power Line, Osogbo, the last coach of the train carrying stones detached, derailed from the track and killed the cows.

One of the owners of the cows identified as Rabiu Ismail expressed sadness over the unfortunate incident.

“I am not happy about this incident at all. I have lost cows. The cows that died worth N10 millions,” he said.

I am very sure it was those Fulani that stupidly herded their cows on the rail line causing the train to derail.

Cows are more valuable to Buhari and his brothers than Nigerian citizens.

It is so sad that those animals died in a cruel manner due to the stupidity of the herders

Fake news. No train derailed. Some foolish herdsmen blocked the railway line and got their cows wasted. The herdsmen should be charged for endangering people's lives and causing an accident.

Shame....a hasty project of less than 4 years is failing the test of time when those who made it are still in power I wonder who they will blame for this....number of human lives didn't matter but numbers of cows that died made it to the news.....imagine if he had electric trains and nepa took light while in high speed......Nigeria is failing day by day but people only care about religion, tribe and political affiliations....shame
