ChinenyeN:

I'd rather not. I know what/how I would write, if I were to write Ngwa, and I'm sure you know how certain people are here on NL, and the way they behave when it comes to things I write and post.  So, quite personally, I don't care enough to go through any the usual with those people, just over a few sentences.

There's no need for you to feel threatened here. There will be zero tolerance for anyone who abuses another member. If such people persist to bother you, please reach out to me or Michelin.

From what I have read from his posts, he seem to have been on a self proclaimed war with his kins, preached division instead of unity and has at some point supported 'other nations against his own nation'. If I had joined by then, I would have scared him as well.
Above all, he is an intelligent poster and has contributed a lot to Igbo culture and culture section.
One love.

You misinterpret. There's nothing "threatening" about it. It's just repetitive and tiring. If I'm going to go through the usual, it should be over serious and extensive topics, such as "Nri hegemony", actual culture and societal structure, or the claim that Ngwa migrated from Orlu area or whatever. Things like that. But to waste bandwidth with those same people over two sentence translations is not worth it.

Okay. I understand you. If it's your decision. Ngodigha you've yet to contribute your own dialect.

Abagwpro what dialects are those?
Re: Igbo Dialects by Afam4eva(m): 9:28pm On Nov 28, 2011
The dialect Abagoro wrote is ikwerre.
Re: Igbo Dialects by odumchi: 9:52pm On Nov 28, 2011
Oh. I guessed that the first one was Ikwerre but doesn't seem like the second one is.
Re: Igbo Dialects by Afam4eva(m): 10:06pm On Nov 28, 2011
Kini suggests that the second one is also ikwerre. But I'm not sure.
Re: Igbo Dialects by ChinenyeN(m): 10:17pm On Nov 28, 2011
Kini isn't limited to Ikwere. Also, the second one isn't Ikwere (at least, it doesn't seem like it).

Re: Igbo Dialects by AndreUweh(m): 12:27am On Nov 29, 2011
Mmiri joro/zoro echi gara aga---Isinweke.
Mmiri zoro uyanhu--Central Igbo.
It rained yesterday-Bekee.
In Isinweke-Etiti, we do not have uyanhu in our dialect.
Mmiri joro is typical Isinweke, but lately, the young ones now say zoro as in it rained.
Echi or echi na abia-abia means tommorrow. This is as it is spoken in Nsu/Isinweke/Obowu areas of Okigwe south constituency in Imo state.
Re: Igbo Dialects by odumchi: 12:38am On Nov 29, 2011
So what do you say as yesterday If you don't have "unyahu?"

In Aro we say "Nmiri doro uynahu". However in what is called Ibibio Igbo (which is the type shredded of Igbo spoken by Ibibios in the surrounding area) they say "Nmini" instead of "Nmiri".
Re: Igbo Dialects by AndreUweh(m): 1:08am On Nov 29, 2011
Uyanhu in Isinweke is echi gara aga.
Uyanhu does not exist in Isinweke dialect.
