NURTW is the largest trade association in Nigeria and they've been around for decades and we are yet to see the chaos or whatever doom and gloom you are talking about.

This association regardless of education is better managed than many organizations in Nigeria, even better than government agencies.

There are school dropouts billionaires all over the world so I don't get your point.

Talking about career growth, MC was their treasurer just a few years ago, now he's the chairman in Lago so obviously they have their own formula that works for them.
see my life.. i new one fine boy tax collector at Aguda Conoil years ago ooh - I should have fallen for his toasting back then

Just imagine, Lagos is upside down because a private citizen and a non public official built hotel.

What is so illegal or abnormal in that?
Really, if we are to be meticulous here, how much money does he earn in a month legitimately ?

Money don’t care whether you have PhD or not. Everyone deserve the right to good living whether educated or illiterate.

Nigerians have been wired with this bullshit that the educated alone deserve good living while the uneducated should be confined to the wretched part of the society.

If just looking at the surface, this guy is a member of the NURTW, a government recognized union body, so you don’t need to say the country is upside down because of him building a hotel.

Yes, we can talk about corruption and question the cost of this hotel in comparison to his take home pay, if you suspect a foul play then you can attack him alone instead of the class he belongs to.
I was thinking I would say "reeetard", but by the end I realised it was building up to a fine point.

You know a lot of folks on Nairaland will say any rubbish since people like them that can’t think will be there to like their post.
If you knew oshodi when it was rugged you would know koko Zaria always sends his boys to collect money from people selling goods in oshodi market and every 24th of DEC he comes by himself, you should see what happens to people who don't pay, mind you this was before he joined NURTW when Oluomo was still in charge of tasking oshodi. I speak from experience

The fact that you sent your kids to school doesn't mean you are going to determine what they end up doing in life, in many countries, welders, pipe fitters, machinists and auto plant workers with trade school education make more money than graduates.

We all can not be graduates or Phd holders, we need police men, fire fighters, bank tellers, factory workers, farmers, electricians, plumbers, waiters, receptionists, food vendors and so on.

Stop being shallow.
We don't deserve people like you in Nigeria, you too get sense bro ✌️

The most educated are not wired to be the wealthiest otherwise, but they are in the employment of Bill Gates, Dangote and the wealthiest. Bill Gates has invested S7billion for discovery of coronavirus vaccine. The scientists will do the job but Bill Gates will take the financial profit. Scientists get paid their wages. Wealth does not come to you because you are well educated. Favour makes the difference.
My finances and my life improved dramatically when this realisation finally hit me many years ago. It forced me to come down from my high horse of ridiculous entitlement and embrace the hard-headed grind of fortune.

Now, even as a highly educated and hitherto 'bookish' individual with outstanding academic accomplishments (that one na old story), I have come to despise all these yeye so-called masters degree and PhD holders (who often don't even merit their qualifications, by the way) who expect all the money in the world to be thrown at them just because they parade some godforsaken certificates. These useless Nigerian lecturers.. professors...occupy the centrepiece of this table I am shaking. The way they strut around with a chip on their shoulders and expect to earn millions without commensurate value is repulsive to me.

In the real world, you have to create value or exploit opportunities to corner wealth to yourself. It is as simple as that. No be by quoting obsolete theories, blowing big grammar wey no dey dictionary, or parading useless 'qualifications'.

You can whine and lament about these rich thugs and 'money miss roads' all you want, but the real world is the real world.

In a sane country will these touts even have any place in the government to the point of gaining recognition.

Please delete that lame post of yours.
The fact that you look down on them and call them touts doesn't make them touts or whatever demeaning names you call them because touts don't engage in or invest in legitimate business and create jobs for Nigerians, touts don't raise decent and successful and academically smart children than you.

Don't saddle other people with your own failure and frustration in life.

I know he's an actor and he's in many Nollywood movies.

Instead of asking about legitimate businesses or insinuating that he's not earning his money legitimately, you need to share with us the illegitimate businesses he's involved in.

The burden is on you to explain to us his illegitimate activities.

Investing in hotels is a legitimate move and hotel operations and job creations are also legitimate and fully legal activities so what is your problem with this man apart from jealousy and bad belle oozing all over your body.

I'm listening.

What else will you say when in your cocoon it is the norm. A person spends ages to enlighten himself and even become a professor of law, but alas in the land of the ignobles, you still have to work under a waec holder as president, because that's laziness, shame to all you who thrive in dirty swamp instead of draining the swamp. We will remain what we are if our value system is so warped and education so degraded.
Countless Phd holders and vastly educated people are working for countless billionaires without formal education of college degrees and even the lst time I checked, most billionaires around the world are not even Phd holders.

The richest man in the world is not a Phd holder.

Education is good, but it's not a license to richness and wealth.

Stop being shallow, and broaden your horizon

Must a Phd holder be more successful than him? A Phd holder can not make more money than akara seller or food vendor, Phd is good for prestige only, but it's nothing when it comes to money.

It has nothing to do with Lagos state, the fact that you have a Phd or you have 10 degrees doesn't mean you are going to earn more than other people..

We all pick our path in life so stop looking down on people because of what they do for a living?

Nowhere else in the world does this happen, public funds ought to be used for the good of society, not into people's bank account. These money are paid by members of the public to danfo and public buses drivers.
I don't remember the NURTW collecting allocation or any kind of public funds, they collect union dues from their members and the last time I checked, the NURTW is a private association.

Even armed robbers create employment. Militants create employment but does that make them legit?

No matter the wealth they amass, they will forever be touts and there is no other way you can sugar coat their nefarious activities.
