A group of vibrant young Northerners under the auspices of Arewa Stakeholders Consultative Circle, on Tuesday, warned that enough is enough of the senseless killings of innocent and unarmed civilians in Borno State and across the Northern part of Nigeria.

Rising from an emergency meeting held in Kaduna, to review the state of security in the north following the gruesome murdered of 43 farmers in Borno, the group said the escalation of the killings almost on a daily basis was a testimony that troops stationed across the trouble areas are overwhelmed and the strategy’s currently in operation is not adequate.

In a communique signed by Sharu Nastura from Kano state, Abdul Ahmed Isiaq- Kaduna, Jibril Tafida- Kaduna, Shettima Yarima- Kaduna,Gambo Ibrahim Gugungu- Kaduna, Engr Bello Bichi, Murtala Mohammed, Aminu Saleh Comrade -Northeast, Kumaga Raphael Terkula- Benue and Mansur Isah Guruza, Kebbi state for the group, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to without further delay relieve the nation’s service chiefs of their posts as they have exhausted all strategies within their capacity to stop the avoidable killing that has made million homeless in their own country.

The communique reads:” we wish to declare as follows: We commiserate with people and government of Borno State, particularly the families of the farmers who loss their lives while working hard to legitimately earn a living despite the odds against them. Our heart and prayers are with them in this trial moment”

“We say emphatically that enough is enough of these senseless killings of innocent and unarmed civilians in Borno State and across the Northern part of Nigeria. The escalation of these killings almost on a daily basis in our view was a testimony that our troops stationed across the trouble areas are overwhelmed and the strategy’s currently in operation is not adequate”

The communique added: ”We categorically join million of voices to call on President Muhammadu Buhari to without further delay relieve the nation’s service chiefs of their posts as they have exhausted all strategies within their capacity to stop the avoidable killing that has made million homeless in their own country as they have failed to save Nigerians this tragically-embarrassing experiences that has continued to made us a laughingstock in the comity of Nations with dire consequences to our image abroad”

I have been telling our leaders that Buhari has failed the north.

But many of them would try to convince me that Buhari is on track.

It's now they're waking up!

It's time to Assemble our own militia to defend Kaduna, kastina and Borno villages.

It's time for counter attack... Not complain!!

Kaduna Abuja high way is not safe including some villages in Kaduna south.

Some villages in kastina has been taken over by Bandits who are busy doing their kidnapping businesses.

Zamfara is not completely safe...

Borno villages are not safe... The government is only interested in the cities.

Our leaders are just waking up from their slumber!!
Buhari is taking us for granted cos we are too soft on him.

If we don't stand against Buhari and his government!! We would continue to bleed!!

Nigerians still don't realized that these bandits, bh and herdsmen are the unofficial foot soldiers of the fulani core-north. That is why they can't complain against them.

Wait till election and see how usefully they will be as their merciless thugs and helpers. Non Fulani and non Muslim are the majority just being eliminated.

What sort of news is this?.
This is fake news. There's peace in the whole of north and I beg them in the name of allah that they should stop all these rubbish cos the south will be mocking us and thinking we are not united while we are really UNITED. Protest and criticism is against our religion and those doing that are going our religions orders.

Where's that arrewa guy, we never see you make you come update us on the peace wey dey happen for that end with pictures. You're mute shey?

Enough is enough but this same shetima yerima back then in 2018 said the Igbos should leave the north and nothing happened to him till date. He was not even invited by the so called DSS. Biko it's non of our business. My only problem and worry are our fellow southern brothers and sisters and the northern christians staying up there in fear. May Almighty God grant them their safety anywhere they are in Jesus name....amen

I have read some of the comments here and its so irritating how we blame other people of tribes/ethnic to be cause of our problems..

The Nigerian government will blame the international body.
The Southern region will blame the Northern region. The west will blame the east, the new government will blame the old one, so on and so forth.. We just don't want to take the blame, seek for forgiveness and do things right.

The problem in the North is caused by the Northern elites, let's call a spade a spade.

This way they have introduced this hisbah is the same way the elements that turned to boko ha ram was introduced.. It is until we start telling ourselves the honest truth that is when all this internal problem we are experiencing as a country will come to an end.

Thank You.
