Saying the truth is far better and graceful than entwined in the parody of pretense and lies that's characterised the Nigeria Military. Major General Adeniyi has shown that he's a gallant soldier and a brave one indeed. Even Buratai can't stand or rather lead the attack against BH....he doesn't have the liver. Militarily, there is law and procedure but that doesn't say that anything that would jeopardize those law and other shouldn't be addressed or bring to the forefront of the people that can address it. Probably Major General Adeniyi had written his displeasure to the Military administrator or just took the law into his hands and deliver the bomb by recording the outburst......mind you....it was his ADC that sent it out through the General's phone without his boss permission which I doubt as much. In the military, which ADC dare do such to a Major General's phone...to open a Major General's phone by ordinary private...equivalent to recruit or corporal and send his video recording out on social media. That's like mutinizing your boss, firing a direct shot at your boss. More to that than meet the eye. However, the question is that, does the General deserve what he's been giving now after all the years of service upto the rank of a Major General.....almost ending the highest rank in the army...a pivotal point of achievement in the military or rather Nigeria Army. To me, he doesn't deserve such insensitive and bad decision meted to him......that's the kind of treatment that used to cause disharmony among troupes and regiments....military have what they called court martial with outlook of a larger view of cause and consequences. Have they succinctly addressed the cause before jumping to consequences....let's dissect the cause, very simple.....is it actually true that Nigerian army lacks good and modern weapons to fight BH?? True.....Are soldiers been killed cos of faulty weapons that always refused to work when faced with BH Yes, was the welfare of socials been looked into?? NO, is there life insurance for soldiers dedicating their lives to the fight against BH?? No insurance.......now my question....why should there be negativity in all the causative effects and we sit to ditch out a careless consequential punishment....?? Why and why We are watching and looking....

We have other general ranks like Lt. and full 4star generals, do career army officers not attain those ranks?

@ realokopi alot of them get confused because of the major or lieutenant on front of the general rank. A general is higher than a major general and lieutenant general. Brigadier general, major general, lieutenant general, General , field marshal . That's the rank. Field marshal is unattainable and a ceremonial rank which automatically belongs to the president (GCFR). Pls be educated.

The greatest pain to a Front line Army General, that's a General leading a war front is to see his battalion of officers been shot and killed at the war front and couldn't do anything about it.....the pain will hunt, hurt and haunt you to your grave. Been a war general ain't easy cos of the experience....the crimsy tide of dried blood, the profuse smell of fresh human flesh, the innocuous oozing smell of decayed bodies.....in all, you don't stop or think....all you think is to kill and kill....the killing of an enemy energises you to kill more.....life is a misery while war is curse but I call it a necessary evil.....

I prefer being demoted than killed like a chicken in the battle front. I remember the tales of my late uncle who used to shoot himself in the war front so that he would be sent home in the army during the Biafra war. he lived to a good old age and even saw his grand children and great grand children.

From what I read maybe the video was to be presented to the top hierarchy before his 2nd in command posted it without approval

Field Marshall is attainable. It won't be an existing rank if it wasn't attainable. It is rarely given not that is unattainable. Several men have justifiably attained that rank but it's been in times of war, especially during d 2nd world war. As d commander-in-chief of d armed forces, any sitting president of nigeria holds d ceremonial rank of field Marshall that cuts across all arms of d military. This is reflected in his ceremonial uniform which he wears when d need arises
