You won't get CAD in Nigeria black market - very unlikely - except directly from a Canadian returnee. However, if you have Canada based contacts, they may need Naira and able to get you CAD offshore. I did at N340/CAD 2 days ago.

Caveat: I am not a moneychanger or BDC. Please don't send mail to ask for contacts to do CAD. I can't vouch for someone that is not me oh! grin grin

Sirromey:
Guys what's the black market rate for CAD?

340 is a very good deal oh. If not that you couldn't vouch for the person would have asked for connect.

Please I received a Letter requesting for my bank statement and ielts result on or before 30days from the day of the receipt. My questions are;

1. How much is required to be in the acct before submission when the person has already paid the complete sch fees?

2. Must it be the applicants acct statement or any relatives?

3. Failure to submit the ielts result and my bank statement, will it affect the application processing?

4. Can I resubmit the same acct statement(proof of funds) I submitted when applying?

Please help me, I'm really anxious

What will happen if you don't submit IELTS is already written on the letter sent to you which is your SP will be processed normally and not the express of 20days.

From the letter, Amount sufficient atleast 6 months of study. That's first semester plus $5,000 CAD but from the advert early this year. 30,000 CAD was indicated.

Whose account: your sponsor

Can you submit normal statement: same account can be used but must be in mybankstatements certificate.

I hope this helps?.

Hello fellow Canadian dreamers,

Please I need a clarification, imy passport has been submitted to the embassy for stamp. I am a first time applicant, I paid UPS two-way courier service.

When my passport is returned to Vfs, will I still pay that N11,300? Will my two-way courier be honored? If yes, will it cause a delay contacting UPS for pickup?

Please I need clarification so as to prepare.

Thanks in anticipation

sadly, i just received the stupid mail that says i have been accepted for student express entry, is there any way to message them that you prefer the normal channels ? and if so has anyone done it and succeeded?

Why do you want the normal process. IRCC offers people the NSE option because NSE gives you better chance of approval, if not why will they put your application on hold pending when you will meet the requirements for NSE.

Lagos VFS? It’ll surely be honored; we have folks here that used the same route to get their passports back.

I don’t think you need to make any additional payment. VFS uses UPS for its in-house courier services so they know how they pick these packages.

All will be well

Hello chief,

First and foremost, ensure to read previous thread pls. It'll really help you a lot.

NSE means Nigeria Student Express. It's a program for nigerians to help fast track their study permit application.

For proof of fund, you need AT LEAST 8.6M to stand a better chance, the 8.6m would include but not limited to your tuition plus 10kcad for living expense.

Hope I try small...

Faithluv5:
Hi guys, I'm new here. Please what is NSE? I have been seeing people mentioning it. I am applying for a graduate certificate at University of Calgary to study network security. I earn 100k monthly as my salary in my office. Please i hope this will not affect my getting the student visa, even though i have enough money in my account (5m) to show as proof of funds.

Lastly, someone mentioned to me that if my fees is about 14,000CAD, that if I have like 7,000CAD in your account for the fees + the 10,000CAD living expenses, that i will still be given visa. Is this true?? thanks

Please I’m Lost.

I got the NSE message.
I can get my bank to send them the mybank statement information but I don’t have IELTS result.

What should I do?
Should I tell them that the school I applied didn’t need that or what should I do?

Please I need your advise @frankrobbn1. My hubby is my sponsor and he uses First Bank which I hear does not issue this financial certificate being requested, for the NSE processing route. We also have our our joint accounts with Stanbic, have our bulk funds in Stanbic Asset Management account and Stanbic USD Funds account. The Asset management arm of the bank is also a separate financial body that may not offer the requested certificate since its not a typical bank. Also, I submitted documents from several financial institutions showing proof of investments in local and foreign shares plus my own available funds as well which makes up all the proof of financial support that I submitted with my application. My questions therefore are:
1. Will it suffice if some of the funds are moved to my personal account to make up the required 6months funds while I explain the lump sum in a letter? especially since the funds are coming from thesame financial sources for which i have initially presented documents when i submitted my application?

2. Does the 6months funds include or exclude tuition fees? Since IRCC requires 10k CAD for a 1year stay in Canada outside Quebec, 6months funds should mean 5k CAD. Please clarify

3. Will they not be interested in seeing my hubby's financial source and records for the requested 12months since he is actually the sponsor? But now that his bank does not offer the requested certificate, how do we go about this? Or

4. Can I just write to them to continue with the initial processing since I am unable to get the required document from First Bank to show my hubby/sponsor's 12months financial history as requested?
Frankrobbn1:

Nigeria Student Express Program (NSE) have fully been implemented by IRCC to help fast-track study permit processing from Nigeria. Apparently, a good number of applicants have been receiving this update on their CIC account. I will strongly advice prospective applicants who qualify for this route to utilize it because through the NSE program, you will enjoy faster processing within an average of 20 days. More importantly, the process is straightforward once you feel you meet the requirements:

To be eligible for faster processing through the NSE, you must meet the following criteria:

1. Apply online.
2. Be a Nigerian Citizen or legally residing in Nigeria.
3. Have an acceptance from a post-secondary designated learning institution in Canada for a Bachelor's degree, Master's, Phd degree or a Post-Graduate Diploma course.
4. Live outside of Canada when you apply.
5. Have a MyBank certificate showing sufficient funds for your studies (equivalent of $30,000) for at least six (6) months plus 12 months of banking history.
6. Only if you're planning to study in Quebec, you must provide a Certificat du Quebec (CAQ) from the Ministere de Immigration.
7. Get a medical exam before you apply (Upfront Medicals).
8. Have a language test (IELTS) that shows; a score of 6.0 or higher in each skill (reading, speaking, writing, and listening).

I hope this information is helpful to everyone.

It will end in praise
