Not completely true! If mercenaries are contracted then all information pertaining to handling Boko Haram will be controlled within them and no other person will know so there is no way the information will be exposed
they will still av to engage with the military no matter what.

Hire mercenaries, short term benefits, empower our military, permanent benefits, chose your choice.

If there are saboteurs, weed them out. An Igbo Christian was in charge of the army, he wasn't competent enough to find the saboteurs in six years?
[/s]

The same ihejirika that Northern elders including Buhari said they will take to Hague for killing Northerners when he was dealing with Boko?

The Northern Muslims including their brothers in military sabotaged GEJ and Ihejirika effort all in attempt to give Buhari fool a propaganda weapon which he eventually used to win election.
Re: Boko Haram: Mercenaries Vow Not To Return To Nigeria by Reference(m): 9:50am On Dec 04, 2020
My own stand on mercenaries is very simple. It is not a long term solution, as it is not sustainable. The results are uncertain at best and the after effects on institutions are worse. It is like hiring a foreign coach for the Super Eagles. We can see that success is not a given if the overall operations remain under the control of the military and while better training g and equipment can rub off positively at the lower and mid echelons of the military, it will worsen the morale and competence at the very top.

Just like foreign coaches do. They improve players, demoralise local coaches and make the NFF lazy. This is not a clear win situation though it may have instant, positive though temporary results. Another down side, like the Lagos state/Alpha Beta scenario and other private ventures into 'government business', it is hotbed for massive corruption. As the mercenaries have said. They baulk at scrutiny and publicity. Good for operations. Bad for probity. And this can easily lead to a round tripping of violence. The kind we all often postulate. That the war has become business.

I personally think if mercenaries are to be used it must have seriously protected terms of reference as to what, where, in, out and exactly how much it will cost. There will be a lot of careful considerations. Our institutions must not be corroded by their activities because we will not be able to keep them forever. They must not be allowed to operate with our military. Rather they should be given independent, designated operations to capture or kill specific individuals to force this amorphous group to the table. Not necessarily to 'win this war'.

Because this war cannot be won by attrition only.

Again Buhari,Buratai , El-rufai and some Northern Elites may certainly be the secret founder and sponsors of this biko Haram.

It was madness that made Buhari to dismantle a working system. He claimed that "corruption" was responsible for Boko haram and all he needs to do is fight corruption to end Boko haram. He was also overconfident of his ability as a so-called "general". Even the US uses mercenaries aka private contractors when fighting terrorists in tough situations. An average mercenary has more combat experience and tactical knowledge than a regular soldier.

Hmm, mercenaries, they must also be the past military men with war tested experience?

The Boko Haram fight is just used for ethnic cleansing in the army. Over 90% of soldiers dying are either from the south or are Christians. They deplete the number of Christians in the army and recruit more northerners. It will get to a point that the personnel in the army will be predominantly Muslims. At that point, they can successfully carry out their long planned Jihad with least opposition.

In addition, they are making money from the soldiers killed. The Ogas divert the millions paid for the family to themselves. So, the more deaths, the more money they make.

You're so on point!!! Morale was extremely high then(Beginning from Feb. 14 2015 )BH boys couldn't stand the onslaught and they ran. Then shortly after Bubu came to power everything crumpled again. Now the BH boys are gradually coming back to take back their formally lost territories and nothing is being done to stop them.[b]
MadamExcellency:
See Buhari, see formation of Multinationals Task Force.

What does Buhari know sef?

I remember the moral of our soldiers then, shouting as the walk on the streets of recovered territories "Never Again will BokoHaram capture any territory in Nigeria" - that was February -
March, 2015

So why did d mercenary complaining say this:

The senior contractor stated that the mercenaries find it difficult to work in a country where their operations, strategy and thinking are exposed to the media and judicial processes.

Or you didn't read that part in the report?

Believe me, all these can't be less the work of these mercenaries. You need read all they've been doing in remote villages in African countries. All they want is world dominance and looking for wealth to achieve this. And the wealth in Africa, is anough to do the job. See
Libya
Somalia
Algeria
Eghpt
Syria
Yemen
Afghanistan
Kosovo
Myanmar
You just name it. Of you believe they want you free, then you deserve to be a perpetual slave

Jonathan was so clueless he couldn't make our army strong enough to confront BH.
He had to hire mercenaries.

Our army are strong and gallant, they've degraded BH by 80%, the rest of the 20% too will be crushed Insha Allah. The unfortunate death of those farmers is a big set back for the fight against terrorism. May the Almighty Allah rest their souls.

BTW, Were the mercenaries around when BH was bombing Kano, Kaduna, Abuja, Kogi?
