I'm also surprised at that. Like, who does that! grin

What happened to boiling water with a kettle rather than stressing the generator. No matter the assurance they give you on the capacity of a generator, there are some things you don't even try normally if you really want longevity for the generator.

Good day community,

I bought a Sumec Firman at their office in Ikeja today and they gave me a 3 months warranty. I objected that it'd be 3 years but they say it's 3 months. Is this true?
What's the KVa and the price please.

SOLAR is the Game Changer
Nigeria's New Rich have an unfair advantage; they have access to 24 hours of electricity. The Internet has opened up the world, it doesn't matter if you live in New York, New Delhi or a hut in a Nigerian Village.
If you have the talent and access to the uninterrupted power supply, you can potentially earn 10,000 USD and upwards every month (legitimately) selling your services to willing wealthy clients in every corner of the globe. You don't need a visa, you don't have to travel anywhere. You can earn millions working right here in Nigeria.
Don’t depend on NEPA, generate your own power using free energy from the sun. Say bye-bye to power failures. Go Solar today. The world is your oyster.

laugh out loud you changed the caburator of a new generator? the mechanic knows next to nothing. as simple as that you bought a fake Chinese generator.

it's a minor fault shall. but you need a special mechanic to detect the root problem.

I'm suspecting a bad fuel. you might need to service the tank and caburator.

I bought a lutian generator sometime in October. I noticed that when the oil is finished or low the gen goes off. This happens every 2 weeks! So i have to change the oil every two weeks, though i dont full the tank. Is this normal??

Yesterday night the gen went off and i decided to change the oil and full the oil tank and the generator didn’t still come on. I called a mechanic and he’s saying the oil i put is too much and has entered places it shouldn’t. Pls how true is this?

Curtis b : Too much oil will cause the engine to suck oil into the cylinders, causing smoke and choking the engine. A small amount overfull will not matter, but when it becomes more than a quart, the oil will have to go somewhere, out the vent, into the air cleaner housing or into the cylinders.

but this should not be a problem. just call for servicing. don't buy into any idea to buy new something or changing any parts. service and it will work.

When you fill your generator with oil use the guage from the cap. Excess oil and oil shortage will damage your Generator

according to the manual oil change should be every 50 or 100hrs so everything two weeks is not bad and please try to change or top oil instead of allowing the oil to short.

The generator you got is rated 2.5 to 2.8kW max. You need to consider getting a generator with 5kW and above.

My suggestion : TEC Optima 7500RS rated 5.0 to 5.5kW max.
