This is a poor mindset individual talking. My fellow Nigerian, learn to appreciate good things so that good things will come your way. Leave politicians to themselves. Don't allow them to brainwash you. Your Governor has tried. quote author=NtoAkwaIbom post=96784963] Instead of sayin shame, u may answer the question, a state with the highest unemployment rate in the country, how does an airport solve their problem? The airline employes not up to 50 peoole, yet every year, it is budgeted for in the states budget, why is it not operating on its own...Why did they budget billions for it for the 2021 fiscal year?[/quote] 2 Likes |

NtoAkwaIbom:U mean those menial jobs at the Airport are also for the elites..? Are you also saying the elites also undertake those menials jobs at those factories..? Many people are suffering in Naija today because of successive emergence of many incompetent leaders over the years and not Udom Emmanuel. Again many Nigerians are complicating matters by indulging in unnecessary things. Examples are 1. Why plan a big burial for a late dad when the same family has many jobless people. Why litter his burial with money when he never tasted wealth while alive.? 2. Why give birth to the number kids, you know you won't manage properly...? Why have purposeless erections..? Why recycle poverty...? Even the United States President don't manufacture kids like African leaders do despite having a robust economy.. 3. Why settle for someone that won't add value to your life in marriage..? Why..? .... and many more reasons. 5 Likes 1 Share |

NtoAkwaIbom:No possible! An airline with 6 CRJ Bombardier cannot be managed by 50 people as you put it here. At least 200 people would be employed by the airline. 2 Likes |

They just made itinerary very smooth in Uyo and Calabar without incessant cancellation of flights unlike Air peace that would cancel flight and not ready to pay. When you stand your ground on refund, they withhold your money for one month. As Ibom air is flying higher in performance, the airfare is skyrocketing beyond fluctuating aviation industry charges. 1 Like |

NtoAkwaIbom: Even if the government doesn't provide jobs, you can position yourself to take advantage of opportunities staring at you. The elite class needs some essential services....can you learn those skills. Solar and inverter installation Home automation with wifi setup.(put on and off lights and appliances with with a smartphone) CCTV Car tracking security Electric Fence Fire safety equipment Etc. What about skills like P.O.P. Suspended ceilings Floating tv stands Etc etc Trust me, people from outside the state are flocking in and providing these services. 1 Like |

EVILFOREST: You are right, the same thing applies. Why buy big airlines when your people can barely feed. Why not build an industrial park and fit it with machines and then train people as artisans to work and produce there, makinv money for themselves? Why not build standard hospitals across the state that will be affordable to most, rather than build one that rarely gets to be used because the people you built it for cannot afford it? Why build a 5star hotel in a state where 90% complain of having to pay 5-10k for an hotel? Its the same thing, we do things that will make people see us as well to do, when rather the reality ob ground is abysmal. You build from the ground up, not from up to the ground 1 Like 1 Share |

blackmantis: Brilliant, thats another thing, during governo Udoms fathers burial, he brought in decorators from lagos to do the work.... Dafuk, does it mean in our whole state we dont have decorators? Truth is, in the state there are people that have those skils, and are dying for work, but is it the gocernor that built the akwa ibom state house in lagos so as to go and rest frequently, that will come and be doing it? The govt prefers to leave the people here, to source for thongs that can be done here with good expertise, to source for people abroad, |

Ozinlex: Very few companies make profits during their first year of operations let alone those in the aviation industry. In fact, in Africa, Ethiopian Airlines is the only profitable airline company. The aviation industry has one of the thinnest margins of profits across all major economic sectors. 2 Likes 1 Share |

I was one of those who questioned the need for Akwa Ibom to own or co-own an airline and whether the government has the requisite competence to run it but so far, so good. Good one for the state. 1 Like |

NtoAkwaIbom: It is a pity that you would use this platform to spew outright lies, especially when it is obvious you know nothing about Ibom Air. Mention one "rich elite" that flies Ibom Air for free. Do you know how many Akwa Ibom families, Nigerian citizens are benefitting from the existence of this airline? Do you know how many families in other states are benefitting from the employment generated by Ibom Air's expansion to other routes outside Akwa Ibom where they operate from? Do you think the 7.2b generated in the write up above came about from flying your "rich elites" for free? Stop displaying your crass stupidity. It stinks. 3 Likes |

NtoAkwaIbom: Very correct. He has been disappointing but let's not forget that Akpabio received more funds than Udom does due to the high price of crude oil during his tenure. The same unemployment Akwa Ibom faces applies to Nigeria and other parts of Sub-Saharan Africa. 1 Like |
