My mentor, a reputable young man in the Construction/Project Management industry told me this when I asked him what will make me stand out among my mates to be a world class Project/Engineer Manager.

I quote

If u are currently worthless then u may not av achieved anything when u are 30. For example, if u are in higher institution now then by d time u are 30, u will av been done with ur NYSC and start looking 4 job. having a serious saving and[b] investing[/b] culture started. even if it is 5k a month or 200k. you will deeply regret not investing as much as possible.

At 24, you have all the grace to lay your hands on everything possible, try as many skills you can learn, learn a trade as well as proceed on your acaademics if that's what you want. You have the opportunity and strength to rise if you fall. But be sure that you have explored as many options as possible and you have concluded on what you want to do for your life or have set a career path you so want for your self before or at the latest early thirties. If by 30, you don't know where you're going, then you will need special grace not to fall for everything.

This is good, listen to it. By 30, you should already know what works and what doesn't and most importantly where you need to be.

Why don’t you put cash flow on your priority list? I don’t see building house as an asset for a lad, build in a location where renting demand is very high to generate income. When your cash flow base is very strong, then you consider to invest in capital gain for future purpose. You must have a steady cash flow Before considering to get marry so things won’t back fire after you got married. I’ll always advice young guys to choose Finance Before Romance

Bible, Quran, Encyclopedia, Oracle, Constitutions and all books .. I've never come across any law that stipulates age limit for any achievement

I used to know a Nigerian woman that sells okirika for years. One day, she got a temporary visa to visit America. She decided to stay back.
With the support of her family, she got her GED and enrolled in school. Now she's a doctor and she's changed her family's life like literally.

My advice is: just have a dream. Stay healthy and alive. Still keep focus and if you put in the works, you'd still achieve your dreams.

This life doesn't have a timeline for anyone.
Just because yours hasn't started doesn't mean yours won't start if you put in the works.

NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF WITH ANYONE

There are host of others but these are my top priorities for you. May God be ur guiding light.

Education and Marriage
Early education will help you plan your life early in life and Marriage will help you leave responsibly, have children early and train them, at 60 years all your children suppose to have been independent and life at 60 is enjoyable. Not a situation the first will just be coming out of university at 60 and last still in Secondary. The person will still be struggling at 70 to feed and educate his children, that is very bad. Don't enjoy now and suffer later.

as a guy not living a superstition life, thinking something will save you from poverty, having the mindset of investment and business before 30years will give you many chain of business ideas, get livelihood before 30years


one thing I do before I clocked 30yrs was leaving on my own, even if it is one room, it will give you the vibes to see life as it is not as the way you see it


as a lady learn skills or be engaged in one business before 30 then before 25years have a reliable and committed man not a bf/gf. a relationship as a 25yrs old will save you from emotional exploitation, if you mistakenly climb 30years above, you will be desperate and this will give room for emotional exploitation from the opposite side

Bro the world is changing and business as we know it now will not remain the same in the next 5 years. I don't know your field of study or any of your skill but if you ask me I will advice you start learning how to code. Start from Java and then Python. Then secondly learn how to trade US stocks and options. Time is changing fast and if you learn coding and how to trade, before you clock 28 you will attract wealth like you never imagined. Coding and trading are good cos you will code your own trading bots and the coding skill will also prepare you for the age of AI, cloud computing and robotics that we are about to enter. The next right skill set required to keep great minds in jobs while others lose their jobs to robots is coding, so try and put yourself in that line if possible. Good luck bro
