The only higher institute in Oron, Akwa-ibom.

Beautiful edifice with no no research to show for it.

Building schools with no good funding is a waste, I only pray for it to get enough funding plus good and dedicated lecturers.

Just go to the school in the next 3yrs nd see how all the new beautiful edifices will be worst than Hall 3 in uniben nd Awolowo hostel in OAU combine.
Nigeria just need gud maintenance culture

My Alma Mata, Commodore Duja Efedua (RTD) is doing a great job. It was going down b4. The community wasnt helping at all, bringing casket to the school gate, forgetting once a general always a general.

Previous Rectors where after their personal gains and pockets, imagine staying up to 17 in a room, all because u wanted money, u admitted cadets u couldn't cater for. Stopped marine companies from coming to pick cadets for sea time, all because of personal gains.

Now, how I wish I can turn the hands of time and become admitted again, still roaming the streets of apapa, onne and Nimasa office in Lagos looking for cadetship on board.

It is well.
Las las e go better.

God bless the minister of transport
God bless the Rector
God bless the staffs and cadets
God bless Nigeria.

Modified: Com. Duja is a very selfless man, always putting the cadets at heart, He even made compulsory courses free for cadets.
Imagine, paying 75k for proficiency, not to talk of medicals and all...

It is well

Those pictures made a mockery of my school seriously. I am there even as I type. We're not there yet but we're definitely getting there.

Inside here feels like you're not in Nigeria.
Those buildings you see were built by former Rectors thieves. The new Rector who was appointed by Amechi is definitely not from Nigeria. He is to good to be Nigerian.

Where do I start telling you of the transformations here?
The massive renovations? The repositioning? We were giving laptops on our very first semester. And during the lockdown we were receiving lectures online and this is no case at all since we use smart classes.
I have exams tomorrow so I don't really have time to tell you all the goodness I'm seeing here.

If they sustain this momentum for the next five years then this school could challenge any in the world. Take that to the bank.

They tried but the architecture has poor finishing, have been in your nautical building and saw that there was real poor finishing below the dazzling white paint. But is okay for the poor public building standard prevalent in Nigeria now, you need to see the immigration head office under the former CG Joseph Udeh and all the trash he built, there's this building called Joseph Udeh glass house, the house will collapse and kill many people under 5 years from now. The same thing civil defence office complex at Sauka Abuja looking like commercial shopping complexes like those in Onitsha. Maritime tried but is a poor job with nice painting

That hall is not befitting for pigs. Students struggling to get ordinary water. The level faeces in those toilets is enough to generate enough heat to power NIgeria.

These pictures have not done justice to how heavenly this place looks like in reality.
I am always proud to get in there daily for work.

@OP forgot to mention that the classes are equipped with modern teaching aids like the Electronic smart boards, PA systems and all classes are equipped with Air conditioning systems.

This institution has the latest multi-million naira simulators, newly acquired from India. Technical staff and other relevant Academic staff have been trained appropriately to man these equipment.

Alot of Experienced professionals and seamen both Nigerians and foreigners have been employed, to ensure that cadets get updated lectures in accordance to current trends.

What else, the Administration has been so amazing. You dont need to know anyone before you get trained.

Did I mention that our online lectures are currently ongoing? Yes, they are and the Cadets can receive their lectures right from the comfort of their homes, that's why we were not much impeded by the Corona break. God bless our ICT team!

It is definitely a place to be. And the Management has done ALOT to ensure that standard is attained and maintained.

God Bless Duja!
