Monarchy.... Na queeen own Britain. She was put their because her ancestors decided that they were ordained by God to rule over and control Britain. They mowed their way to that throne a d the Brits don't mind it so badly or they can't get rid of her even if they tried cos the royal family hold supreme power over the land.

She was not elected into office.

To study law as a degree course, one of the main requirements is to pass government as a subject in secondary school level. I begin to wonder if all these presidential aids pass government subject.if they did, how come they can't differentiate between monarchical system of Government and presidential, seperation of powers and checks and balanceshuh??

When you support Buhari, you automatically become useless and senseless.

Is the Queen of England a political position? Was the queen of England voted for? Why not compare Buhari to the Prime minister of UK?

It's not easy supporting this man Sha. You must always sound stupid

Money can make people act stupid. I feel sad that Prof Sagay of such repute can spout such imbecilic rubbish from his mouth.
The Queen is a ceremonial head of state and does not wield political power. That is the reason why she cannot be summoned.
Everybody in this Dullard's administration acts like an idiot.

I think they say we are copying American democracy. But Trump can be summoned by the senate. How is Buhari greater?
Like someone said, Trump was summoned during the impeachment hearing but didn't show up, and heavens didn't fall.

Note that I'm not supporting the action by PMB, nor do see Trump as a model democrat.

Many of you just went to school but you were never educated. Prime Minister is just the head of government but not the Head of State. Queen is the Head of State but in Nigeria, the president is both the Head of Government and State. Do you get that?
You guys are pure illiterates.

Buhari is not being summoned because he is a father or a husband or a son or a head of state.

He is being summoned because he is then head of government.

Secondly, the British don't have a written constitution, but in spite of this, the British parliament invited Charles I of England. In fact they even sentenced King Charles to death when they found him guilty of treason, and his execution was carried out. This is in spite of the fact that Charles was more of an absolute monarch, than Queen Elizabeth II..

Back then British monarchs had executive powers. Now those executive powers are being exercised by the prime minister, so that is why it is unlikely for British monarchs to be invited by parliament, because they are largely ceremonial now.

Nothing prevents the British parliament from inviting the British monarch today, but what's the point, as they no longer have executive powers, and to do that, an MP hostage will be held by the palace while the monarch is attending his parliament invitation.

Buhari has no excuse whatsoever. He has executive powers and just like King Charles I, he can be invited.

It is clear Sagay and Buhari are stark illiterates. They can pull this wool over they eye of their supporter illiterates

You are disappointed in Prof Sagay because you lack knowledge, God save Queen Victoria, not Elizabeth, you don’t know anything of what you are talking about, the 1963 constitution is what abolished the parliamentary system (British), and turned us into a presidential system like the Americans, which was the bedrock for the 1979 Constitution, now Amended 1999 Constitution.
No you are wrong sir..

1979 constitution fully turned Nigeria to an American system.

One of the objectives of 1963 constitution is to have an elected president who would no longer represent the Queen.. Nigeria wanted to be independent from the Queen

The constitution of 1963 used the British Parliamentary or Cabinet System. The act of 1979 adopted the American Presidential system (the Washington Model)

I am not necessary calling for Westminster style of government but a parliamentary federal system of Government that would bring government close to people

And I don't know what you meant by this "God save Queen Victoria, not Elizabeth"

The British government is owned by the Queen.....presently Queen Elizabeth...Her Majesty Government

And if you don't agree with me on constitution to adopt you should at least agree that the Prof analogy was wrong.

But yet in the northern borders today, they still smuggle rice with bikes, who is fooling who? Abeg leave Mata for Mathias
I think that has to do with law enforcement to make sure the borders are protected and laws are maintained.

That decision goes against the free trade agreement that developed countries use to flood the indigenous market of suffering and unstructured worlds with cheap processed goods. It is for indigenous economic growth and learning to do it yourself will take a lot of pain, hardship, persistence, learning and stable light at the end of the tunnel in the end.

Buhari is not a King he is an Elected President.

The UK Prime Minister can be summoned by Parliament when explanations on any matter of state are required from him eg Brexit

Nigerians know how to collect degrees without understanding the basics of their subject.

Dear Itse Sagay is Buhari the Queen of Nigeria? Buhari is in same pedestal with Boris Johnson the British Prime Minister and on daily basis the British Prime Minister appears before the parliament to answer questions bordering on the governance of the state. On issues of National security and the Armed Forces the National Assembly is empowered and right to have invited president Muhammed Buhari the democratic dictator. I wish to note that the only reason the inner cabinet members are flying the kite of legal incompetence surrounding his invitation is because they cannot risk presenting him without packaging and doctoring his responses to the law makers especially from the opposition PDP. All his public appearances are painstakingly dramatized and recorded. ###Our mumu Don too much###
